This strikes me as a little bizarre, but from a business standpoint it could mean that the Knight Rider set has suffered little or no tampering, and Universal want to advertise this to draw in more potential sales. On the other hand it could mean that Universal has little or no faith in Knight Rider (The A-Team and Magnum were both much more high-profile than KR).

Well, as long as there is no tampering... But Pooh!!! if those other sets have KR episodes as bonuses, should the KR season 2 have at least one free episode of the A-Team / Magnum?
The set will have no bonus features because Universal's priority is to keep up a momentum for these sets. They don't want to wait too long in between seasons before the next gets released. This is why they got lazy and neglected adding bonus features to the second seasons of
Knight Rider,
The A-Team, and
Magnum P.I. I also will not be surprised in the least if all the original music used in season 2 is removed and replaced with generic "muzak" because Universal is too cheap to pay to re-acquire all original songs for their shows.
It's pathetic that we have to actually look upon the opening teasers as bonus features now. What's even more pathetic is that this company thinks adding episodes from one series to another is a "bonus feature" when in actuality it's a cheap gimmick to advertise their other sets. And as chrisebourg pointed out, he had a defective disc on his set, ANOTHER common flaw from this company with their half-hearted DVD attempts. These people unfortunately own some of the greatest franchises ever, and unfortunately when it comes to DVDs, they suck miserably.
They want you to buy first, ask questions later. Still, as
KR fans, how can we NOT go out and buy our favorite series on DVD? Universal knows this which only makes them more likely to put less effort in their DVDs. Why worry about taking the time to make a quality product when you know you're going to make your money off it no matter what? They're worried about time, not quality. As I understand it, they destroyed the first season of
The A-Team by removing all of its original music as well.
