That's worse than an outrageous orange Dodge Charger with ugly decals! All these recent 'curvy' cars look like EGGS!
Even that Beetle looks horrible! This is Knight Rider, not Love Bug!
The only good contenders for KITT are the Trans Ams, 1982-1995, not the old boxes, not the ugly new muscle cars. You could also try the Dodge Stealth (not the Pontiac Banshee lookalike) or a longer, thinner Sunfire, or a Ford Escort, or a Mustang, or a Corvette, or an older Honda City or Opel Astra, though I would prefer the car be an American one, especially GM, even more so Pontiac.

Hi, I'm new to that forum. But when I saw that treath, I had to give my opinion. Also Sorry for my English...
In my idea, I'm not against an all new design for the next kitt car. I think since the 80s, the world of technologie and of automobile has changed a lot. In my vision, the next kitt car should have very much more "technologic" look, some thing like the "delorian" in "Back to the future" works well, but it can be some thing else too.
Personnaly, I like the "look" of the car presented here, but it hard to talk about the design when we don't even know what will do that car and what are the specials features? Do they want an mor "international " look or an "american" look? The car is smaller than the original Trans-Am, the lines are simples, but not very "american". The black color is always necessary and it is a good idea to keep it.

Blecch. Especially not for KITT. Here's my main problem with it; Michael attracted enough (usually bad) attention to himself in an '82 Trans-Am when they were COMMONPLACE. There is no way on God's Green Earth that you could tell me that a TVR is commonplace, especially not here on the streets of the good 'ol US of A. The Foundation had to bail Mike out of enough trouble as it was, you don't need to add the additional problem of putting him behind the wheel of a car that's SURE to stick out like a sore thumb. Granted, an '82 Trans-Am isn't exactly commonplace anymore either and you'd have to deal with that if you were going to keep KITT as that in the movie, but at least in my mind it LOOKS LIKE KITT!

Well.. seeing as though they dismantled KITT and created KIFT in KR2000, I don't think it would be feasable to bring back the old design (even thought I would love it), but I agree they should keep it american, black, not riced out, and something sporty, fast, but something you could almost see everyday.... But anyway, do we know if this movie will actually be produced? I know I have been out of the loop for quite sometime, so I don't know the latest news.

Well, I have been working on my new designs for the future KITT. This car is actually being produced in prototype form now. Jupiter Electronics is already undertaking the task of creating the functional electronics and the rest of the car is in capable hands.
Here is two quick teaser pictures. Items like the steering wheel and center console are still under design conception so the ones in the picture are temporary for now. Enjoy.

Hi. I am New.
I think the New KITT should be this official 2003 Pontiac Trans Am that I have as My Icon in this board (tell me how to load images to this board because I have 2 or 3 more photos including the motor.) The things I will change are Color (Black with Silver Stripes and the logo should be Flag's).
What do you think?

... A Ford Escort?! Please tell me you are joking!Arjun wrote:The only good contenders for KITT are the Trans Ams, 1982-1995, not the old boxes, not the ugly new muscle cars. A Mustang isn't a bad suggestion but I can't see KITT as one.
I think KITT should be a newer Trans Am too but I somehow don't think that'll happen. The newer T/As aren't too popular with many fans of the old ones (even though I think they're pretty hot ). A Corvette would be the best alternative, IM-humble-O

Maroon? No, the car is black. It was in some weird lighting. LOL
Thanks for the compliments. The real parts are coming along slowly but nice. I wanna make sure everything is pefect.
Thanks for all the e-mails as well. A few of you like the built in grills in the nose. No doubt they will look better in person. It was hard to get a nice look in paintshop. More to come though.

A lot of those cars I mentioned are seen locally, especially the Escort and Astra, though both are not produced anymore.... A Ford Escort?! Please tell me you are joking!

Mustang was a wild shot, but I would prefer a more recent one. Definitely not the 60's stuff, though I like those cars too.
Any third gen Firebird will do, but not those new muscle cars. As someoen said, they're not Turbo Boost cars.
