It was a perfect purple sky.
Thanks for coming everyone! I had a great time.
I hope we didn't miss meeting anyone, it's a big lake and easy to get lost on.

Glad to hear you weren't lost. We were getting worried. We will have to do it again sometime. The food worked out great we had more than enough.

My car SHADO was very bummed I didn't bring him, but his transmission fluid was way too low to risk it. We all had a lot of fun playing with Justin's toy though

No butter, NOOOOOOOOOOO. He He... I survived, and ate three pieces of corn. Yum.
And yes, thanks Kevin for the great cooking. (We're gonna have to twist his arm and get him to join KRO. His father actually worked on TOS.)

This is kinda cool. Justin told me about the High Dynamic Range feature in photoshop, so I figured I'd try it out. The first two images are shot at the same time of day with different exposers. The third is the photoshop merged image of the first two.

Cool videos.. Except for me and that dirt bike. :P
For the record the only thing that got me on that dirt bike was the need to visit the restroom. I warned Kevin I might not have to go anymore when I got off.
Here is another HDR photo merge.
I often get accused of carrying purple filters with me out into the desert. But believe it or not, I actually removed a lot of the purple from this image in PS.

That's awesome! How far away is that from Vegas? I think we should have one day from the KRFest'10 on that lake bed!

Well its on the way if you're coming from LA. But its still like 2 or more hours to Vegas. If memory serves me there is a much closer dry lake bed to Vegas where Goliath was shot.

We have car shows here but no one ever comes up with KITT either one of them! How can that change? :(

I'd love for that too change specially since is car shows and conventions what for the moment seems to be all that we have to look forward K.R wise speaking...

For anyone in the California area, some of us are planning a get together at the El Mirage Dry lake. The Location of the original series opening credits.
Right now it looks like most of the activities will take place around mid-day on Sun June 14. Depending how far you are coming, the best option may be to camp out Saturday night.

Bring your own food and grill, but things will likely end up being pot luck. Be sure to bring well over the normal amount of fluids, as it is the middle of the desert and you will drink what you have very quickly.

Assuming that it doesn't rain, you will be allowed to bring your car out on the lake bed. There is no speed limit on the lake but please be safe.
Wish I could be there, but I'm in D.C. :-(. But thanks for the name of the location, I have always been wondering where and what was the name of that desert in the opening titles. I'll definitely check out that area when I come to California. :good: :kitt:
