what did you think about GST as the showrunner of the show??

I've been thinking about something. TOS was a great show, a classic show. It can NEVER be replaced. This show is not a great show, or a classic. But it is a good show, actually, it's becoming very good. It has the potential to be a great or classic show. So here's what I've been thinking: Maybe GST knows he can never replace TOS so he isn't trying to. He is trying to have some tie ins, but he knows he can never 'do it over' again, so he won't. Think about all the recent movies, Duke of Hazzard, Charlies Angels, and whatever other TV shows that were redone, (I know they were all movies) They all have been butchered as to what the original shows were, but this show has NOT been butchered. I agree with alot of you, Sarah drives KITT too much, there isn't enough stunts, he needs a new steering wheel. You're all right, but Maybe that all will come in time. For now it seems they're doing a damn good job without a whole lot of money. He's even said that. He's said he's wanted to do more, but doesn't have enough resources. Also, we have to realize in this day and age, we're losing like 8 minutes more of programming to the early eighties shows. Less show.
Bottom line is he's addressed alot, from what we have said and written here. At least he takes the time to answer questions for us, so he DOES care....he brought us back Turbo Boost, even if it is CGI, at least we got it. Then there is the grappling hook, the voice modulator, and apparently from what I've read, we are going to see the return of the ejection seats and a little bit of Ski Mode. So he IS trying, he IS listening, and quite obviously he DOES care. I've even bashed him a little bit, earlier (In this very thread, i think!!) but now that I've seen his dedication to the show, AND THE FANS, I believe he is trying.

I guess he's gotta please his bosses too. I'll bet if this show ends up being sucessfull, that he will change it more to his way. He'll probably get more leeway with what HE wants to do.

i think he is a big letdown, he is doing the show like he wants it. the original mythology is lost, the car is rediculous, it has a stock dashboard, stock steering wheel, basically we have a souped up fast and furious type of stock mustang with a voice modulator. this show could have been much better, this show is too fast, too furious, but not too much knight rider. its an upgraded version of team knight rider.

okay dude chill out everytime your on here you bash the show for no reasons once oh ever. if you don't like it or the people who are doing than don't watch it man simple as that! god

i have every right to voice my opinion, if the show has something positive i will give it credit, i started out liking the show when i saw the 2 hr pilot, but i am very dissapointed with the direction the series has taken. and i am not bashing the show for no reason, i have very legitimate reasons. excuse me if i'm not brainwashed by nbc universals updated version of team knight rider.

well and theres another thing this is no where near Team Knight Rider do we have 4 cars driving with different persons driving them? NO! so point proven this is Knight Rider

i didn't say it was team knight rider, i said it is an updated version of team knight rider, and it is. you have a whole team of people in the show in the kitt cave, and although you dont have 4 different ford vehicles at one time, you do have kitt transforming into 3 different types of vehicles similar to the ford vehicles in team knight rider.also all of the vehicles in team knight rider had stock dashes and stock steering wheels just like kr 08.
