Inconsistancies in Goliath

Post by Alex T. » Thu Apr 14, 2005 6:24 pm

Well I picked up Season 2 yesterday and noticed so many inconsistancies in the Goliath episode. For example, there is a scene where Michael is driving in the desert with Rita and he is disguised as Garth. The camera pans out and clearly shows the stunt doubles and the guy driving doesn't even have the mustache or goutee. Then the part where Garth is driving Goliath and he fires rockets at the doors at Red Bluff, and just before he rams the doors all of a sudden the rocket chambers are full again. Did they reload themselves? lol

Yeah, it's funny to catch these in the DVD release. In Merchants of Death there's at least once (maybe more) where the driver of KITT is seated in the wrong seat. Once scene that stands out is one with just Michael and KITT talking. He's in the passenger seat. Yet, when KITT stops, he gets out of the driver's seat.

I noticed that too. Michael is actually driving but I think the reason he appears to be sitting in the passenger seat is due to a reversed negative. When I first saw that I was highly confused. I thought to myself "Now since when did K.I.T.T become British?"
Flyer Guy: "You really a talking car?"
KITT: "No. I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears!"

Yeah i noticed all those mistakes... one time in particular in Merchants of Death is when Kitt pulls out of the Semi and hes sitting in the passenger side.

haha ya. I still love the show, but those were some pretty darn obvious mistakes. I mean, I didn't have to look twice, I noticed them the first time. Hopefully the new movie won't have these silly mistakes.

Mistakes are funny. Yet wincable at times.

Dark Shadows has a boatload of them as well. Bats on strings, camera shadows, acting skills of mediocre middle school students....and still a fun show.

I keep wondering why in so many scenes, KITT starts his engine up in Drive???

Sure, once or twice, a screw up in editing. But, it's so often that I'm wondering if this is some sort of modified engine deal?

There's at least 3 goofs in "Speed Demons". I noticed 2 of them the first time, but when KITT pulls up to the garage before the motorbike chase through the obstacle course, I had to set the VCR on slow motion just to see KITT's "hand" grabbing for his door.

And no, I don't have Season 2 yet. Blasphemy!!!!!
