RC's bike... now with Hyperthrust
Pretty silly thread but hey. I was watching the season 4 episode Knight Of The Rising Sun, and I noticed a short sequence where RC was riding his bike down the highway. However, it was considerably sped up - almost to the same level as when KITT is in SPM.
I wonder if it was an in joke toward Street Hawk? It did remind me of Hyperthrust a lot. I think season 4 was on screens around the same time as Street Hawk was on its first airing.
Any thoughts anyone?

Here's the original intro in AVI format (right click, save as)Army_F_Body wrote:I need to see Street Hawk. It sounds really awesome.
And as for the sequence, I just got out the DVD again. Its immediately after KITT goes into SPM for the first time. When they are both on their way to stop the Japanese planting the explosives. Its like a 3 second shot. lol

No problem. You can clearly see the Knight Rider influence on Street Hawk - however much people try to deny it. Vertical Lift is near identical to Turbo Boost, Hyperthrust is SPM, both the bike and KITT are black.... etc etc.
But I digress.
I just looked again. RC's helmet looks alot like the Street Hawk one too.... hmm....

Whoopsie... forgot to mention that. I think that codec comes in the DivX package here.Army_F_Body wrote:Downloaded the clip and got sound, just no video
So begins my quest for the DIV3 codec. I really want to see this clip.
The intro music sound awesome though!
If that fails to work, here's a small clip (right click, save as) from the first episode. In plain MPEG format.

I don't think anybody deny's Knight Rider's influence on Street Hawk, which is why most people who watched Street Hawk generally say it is a Knight Rider ripoff.Sith wrote:No problem. I was being kind to any Street Hawk fans who may be reading. lol... honestknightimmortal wrote:I don't think anybody deny's Knight Rider's influence on Street Hawk, which is why most people who watched Street Hawk generally say it is a Knight Rider ripoff.
Its true though, whenever you bring Street Hawk up in conversations, people always remark "that was the Knight Rider bike right?"
Yes, the bike shares most of KITT's special features. The main character, the rider, is also a cop who was injured in the line of duty.Benjamin Knight wrote:So is this Street Hawk like Knight Rider?? Is it about a guy with a super bike?
Sound familiar?
It was a fun little show, and its sad that it ended after 12 episodes. George Clooney was in it too. If you ever get the chance to watch an episode you should do.
I'll always prefer Knight Rider though. Because I prefer cars. You tend to find bike lovers favour Street Hawk. hehe

I love bikes almost as much as cars. Even so, I can't imagine doing 200mph on one. Even 100mph would be darned scary. I've been to about 115 or so in a car, and that wasn't too scary, but I've ridden enough ATVs to know that riding on something is entirely different from riding in it.
Anyway, I never got to see Streethawk, but I probably would've liked it. I liked Chips, and Airwolf, and later, Thunder in Paradise.
