Hoff's Hits of the '80s

Post by KITT » Sun Dec 20, 2015 3:10 pm

Hey guys! I haven't been here in a long time. Mostly because the boards do that "you've logged in too many times so enter this captcha that you enter correctly every time but we'll still not let you in" thing. I was surprised it let me in this time. so maybe it got fixed? who knows! I'm glad it let me in. :kittconv:

David Hasselhoff is creating a tribute to the 80s! :kitt:

But it's one of them pledge music drives that ends February 11. Some of the things that are offered are autographs, handwritten notes, meet and greet, skype calls and getting your picture in the album. :kittside:

Be a part of my new compilation album, come meet me and hang out, and submit your songs to Hoff Knows Talent!

Building on the success of ‘True Survivor’ which I recorded for the ‘80s-themed Kung Fury movie, I’m creating a tribute of my own to the decade of explosive action and incendiary anthems: Hoff’s Hits of the ‘80s, and I’m inviting you to become a part of it right here on PledgeMusic.

A compilation album with awesome cover tracks and new original tracks in the style of the ‘80s, the album will be available to pre-order here as a download and a CD signed by me. What’s more, you can dress up in your best ’80s gear and send your picture in to be included in the album. I can even write you a handwritten note of thanks.

But that’s not all. Together I want us to create our own Hofftastic album, so we’re making history with Hoff Knows Talent, the first global talent competition.

Write a song in the style of the ‘80s and True Survivor, and then send them through to me. Together with a team of experts, we’ll evaluate your song and send you back detailed feedback. You’ll also have a chance to be included in the album, as we’ll be picking the best 4 tracks and have them published and released on Hoff’s Hits of the 80s!

And if that wasn’t enough, you can even come and meet me on the road. I’ll be in Glasgow, Scotland this Christmas for the Peter Pan Panto, and touring the UK early next year for the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Musical, so pick up a VIP ticket below and come say hello!

I’ve always said you’ve gotta get in the game, because it’s when you’re in the game that you can score. So come meet me, pre-order the album, write on, and together let’s make history!

Lady: "I bet you're tall, dark, and handsome."
KITT: "I'm definitely dark and handsome, I'm only tall when I'm climbing a steep incline."

Sounds like it'll be the coolest 80's hits compilation ever :) I really like the True Survivor song.
Have listened in youtube many retro-future- synth wave songs, for example someone uses the name Garth Knight and they have this pretty cool action themed song, Break Point. Perhaps something like this will be on the cd?

There's also others, for example:
- Miami Nights 1984 - Accelerated:

- Sellorekt/LA Dreams - Camaro Fever:

- Mitch Murder - In The News (nice use of the 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am commercial between 1:03 - 1:12 and 4:56 - till the end ;) )
