Summer Knights

Knight Rider spent a lot of time at the beach or doing other "summer-y" activities. It's true for all versions of the show (well, maybe not Knight Rider 2010.) What are your favorite/most iconic summer moments from the franchise? Michael & Stevie playing frisbee at the beach? KITT hydroplaning in Return to Cadiz?



To get you in the mood, here's an old video from back in 2001. If I could find the original source file I would try to do an update to include some beach footage from KR2008, but I probably created this in Adobe Premiere 5 or so and I can't imagine I could find a program to open it again.

It's funny that you mention summer knights while I'm at the beach. I probably have your summer knights source file at home. I think I saved some or all the summer knights daily posts back then.

For those who don't recall, I hosted a "Summer Knights" where every day I added a new summer-related photo or sound file. I was capturing images off of VHS recordings so the quality isnt quite what we'd see today!

I remember these pics and videos looked much bigger on 17" CRT monitor with 1024x768 resolution I had back in 2001 Great memories from old times, thanks for posting them again.
I think my favourite summer activities are from KITT vs KARR, John and Mandy at the beach with metal detector. I also enjoy the driving scenes on PCH, awesome views. Tried even replicate that with my ERTL model few years ago:

What are we looking at here?! Is that a CG road, or is the model photoshopped on to a real road, or just what exactly is going on? It is a great composition!

Thanks This particular photo is completely real, no photoshopping at all. The "road" is a diorama scaled for 1/18, placed next to a lake in evening sunlight and the whole diorama is also raised from the ground about 1 meter high, the height shows up better in this pic as there's some rocks showing up down at the beach:

There's few more photos in my gallery but some of them have little photoshopping done, like tyre smoke.

Might have to redo this set with new Hotwheels KITT someday. I'd like to improve the diorama though first.

Nice idea! There's so many that it's hard to pick out a specific one...
I've always loved the scenes in "Merchants of Death" where Michael explains beach/surf songs to KITT (who does not understand) and then at the end I think he heads off to the beach in KITT with The Beach Boys' "California Girls" playing at full blast.
I also love the short scene at the end of "Brother's Keeper" where Michael pulls April into KITT with him so that they can go to the beach. April protests that they have work to do but Michael asks what're they going to, arrest them? "Besides...we've got a great getaway car!"
Not very iconic scenes I know, but I like them
