Anyone know what the set up is.. how the lights are configured behind the ORB??
Thanks in advance~
There are no 'lights' behind the Orb I sell Starcars.
I thought you were trying to make your own Orb for your Mustang instead of buying one of mine?

the dash? (I still have yet to attempt to remove the stock dash piece).
If your asking one of my customers whats behind the Orb that I sell thats another question entirely.
I (and my customers) don't give out that kind of info about my Interactive Voice Orb publicly or in private.
Maybe I misunderstood your question...please elaborate.

OK, I'm running out of parts here guys.
Anyone that wants the K3000 electronics needs to contact me in the next month because after that I am shutting it all down. (New job will have me traveling a lot)
(Ryans Orb is finished and ready to be shipped out.
John's Orb will be finished after that and shipped.)
I only have enough supplies for 2 more Orbs. First come first serve.
I also have a couple of holo gauges left and 1 laser HUD package left and a center console screen (Pilot movie).
Just let me know guys.

Hey, What are you going to do to your dash? I will check with a few people I know to see if they want to get it.

This is a great thread.....and has taken me some time to go through to create a list of parts that I'm going to need for my KR project.
I joined about 2 1/2 years ago as that's when i first found this site and have followed Taoworm's progress with Scanners, Orbs, HUD's etc.....very clever guy.
When i first joined i was living in the UK and to import the right Mustang and then start the project would of worked out pretty expensive. I am now living in Sunny Florida and after being here just over a year I have decided it's time (with my wife and 4 year old sons approval) to source the right Mustang for my project.
We had one lined up which we were due to pick up this week but due to problems with the seller inflating the price we decided to walk away. So we are still on the look out and eager to get this KR project under-way.
No doubt i will be crying out for help and info. at some stage soon!

I'll send you an invoice for the V.2 daylight viewable Orb today Ted. Did you want it with the side status 'countdown' displays?
If not I can make it for ya cheaper. Just PM later today and we can chat about it.

LOL me too!
I would have done it by now but I have to buy a new windshield to do it. (Mine has the black defroster on the lip all the way around it.)
The black defroster lines cover up a little too much of the bottom for my taste. So I am saving up some cash to buy one without the defroster.

Hey Ted, how would you feel about me and you putting our combined info together in a downloadable how to 'manual' for the other K3000 Replica owners?
I am about to take my stock Mustang and start putting my KITT parts in so I can video tape the process all the way through.
Information exchange is so vital, and the advice and help many get on this site is the only reason some have been able to even start on their Knight 3000 project.
I feel the time to do something like this is now. (A lot of K3000 conversion folks come here, build the KITT car and leave.) I had hoped more would stick around to help other members just starting out.
But it looks like and me and you are the only 'original K3000 replica folks' left on KRO to provide any assistance to the new members in the community.
Let me know what you think about the idea Ted.

Taoworm, i think that would be a great idea and would save me a lot of time searching through the 39 pages on this post
I find some useful information on a page and then get side-tracked.....then i have to start searching again lol
I know i have been in contact with a couple of you guys and i really appreciate the help and advise given. I have finally brought a 2006 Mustang GT for our project car. I have ordered the voice orb, scanner, dash lights and may have the Trufiber hood. I am now currently looking at conversion kits for the front ie bumper, lights etc. Ted sent me the part number list for this, which i will price up tomorrow. Is there much difference in the price buying direct from Ford compared to American Muscle or CJ Pony Parts?

I'd like to make one thing clear about the HUD display.
The lasers fit in the rear of the Shelby hood. So if you don't have a KR hood, the HUD displays won't work.
