Hi all!
It's been a while since I've posted (a couple of years actually) but I wanted to swing by, say hi and show off a few pics of the car we've just finished building for my teenage son.
He's 14 & half and has always wanted a KITT ever since I built my 3000......so, this is his motovation to do good in school & to get a job just as soon as he's old enough. No, it's not going to be a "gift" per-say as he will be paying me for it (hence the motovation to get a job)
Anyway, opinions welcome & I hope it meets everyones standards!

That scanner look terrific as a more futuristic verion of kitt.I'd lose the red lining of the hubcaps and go for the silver that kitt had.Got a video of the scanner working in the day time and night time?
How does your son feel about knight rider? If he looking forward to driving a kitt car?
This is my ideal version of what kitt would look like if i had the money to build it.

That style of scanner is just a cheapie actually, $60.00 each. They're not very bright at all so I'm looking at either building or buying a custom version. (no vids yet though)
As for the wheels....I wanted to go with the original style but my son liked these so who am I to argue? It's technically going to be his car so I had to give him some creative input. If he's happy with them, I guess that's all that matters.
As mentioned above, he's wanted his own KITT for a few years now and he loves both versions of the show so it's pretty safe to say that he's diggin' it and driving it is all he's talked about since I brought it home from the bodyshop.

Pretty sweet, Darktalon. Nice job! Too bad it's not a T-Top though. What engine does it have?
Knight Racer - I really like your "ideal" version, even though I prefer the 3rd-Gen Firebird T/A bodystyle of the original K.I.T.T. myself. I am currently searching for an '82-'92 'Bird I can turn into a K.I.T.T. replica.
:kittside:I reject your reality, and substitute my own!:kitt2:

Little dude didn't want T-tops....go figure? I would have been all over them!
Engine wise, just a 3.8 Vortec......didn't figure he needed too much power in his 1st car. He'll probably wreck it anyway.

Finally got around to hooking up the scanner.....I went for a custom version as opposed to the Ebay cheapie.

the 4th gen nose reminds me so much of the nose on the 89 batmobile. Just sayin....
Cool KI2T though DT
