for some STRANGE reason you cannot see the scuff in 1st pic when it shows in the post, copy paste http://i40.tinypic.com/24loqr8.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; into the browser and you will see the picture with the scuff. like i said if you used like future which is a floor cleaner it fills int small scuffs and makes them shiny again. I did that to a 1/18 batmobile to make it more like the 'batman returns' car and blacked out the rims too and the future made the body go from satin to gloss black and i could not see any scuff/scratches in the finish. but then again the batcar was in mint condition and high up so my cat would not knock it off like kitt did (but he landed on carpet ;) ).

For me, it doesn`t matter wat kind of version these models are.
The fog lights are the reason why are started to convert those models. (thanx to ERTL,Aoshima etc  )

I hate those original fog lights,I can not live with it.

I think the converted KARR looks much better than his original brother.

And when I`m remove the ugly original fog lights, I can also do the right paintjob on the rearbumper and above the wheels. And everybody who has photoshop, can make the right license plate for KARR.

Ok....the other things that I "upgraded" are a little bit insane, but that`s only why.............no gf!

Cool model that Greenlight Trans-Am GTA and nice group shot of your models, I see you have the GTA in black too :) What's your serial number in the floorboard? Mine is 0786.
Here's my modified KITT and the '89 GTA together, I should take some day group shot with the second KITT model and KARR too.

Question 2 - Can I see more pics of your car after this :good:  I finaly get a black dots version and will try it

Wow, I bought one of the Ertl KITT's (the 3 white fog lamp version) thinking they'll be around and I can get more later. Now that I'm looking at the ebay prices, I'm kicking myself for not getting a KARR and more when I had the chance.

Great modding guys, the working lights and lit dash are amazing. I wish I could buy models like that. Seems like every other person on here has some sick modding skills. Much respect.

General question for people with the 1/18 Ertl cars: where do you guys get the clear cases for the cars to fit over the base?

I don't know if anyone would be interested in seeing them, but I actually have all 3 ERTL Joyride cars. I have K.I.T.T., K.A.R.R., and Chrome K.I.T.T. All three are still in their boxes and only K.I.T.T. has been opened so I could handle it befoer putting it back in the box. The other two have never been out of the boxes. Also, the Chrome K.I.T.T. has many signatures on it from the guests of Knight Rider Festival 2. If anyone is intersted in pictures, let me know. :kitt:

I was wondering...why did they put a Season 3 nose (no turn signal covers) on a car with a Season 1/2 dash (2 screens)? I would love to see a really accurate Season 1 or Season 2 KITT in 1/18. I bought the original 1/18th with the 2 yellow foglights, and was disappointed that they mixed these features up. I also never remember seeing KITT with yellow foglights. Oh, and not to mention that HORRIBLE scanner! They didn't get that right at all!!!

As more they go accurate as more as you pay, if you want it the real way...you have to do it yourself:

Sorry about forgetting to reply to this until now. Did the foglights from peaces of Compact Disc clear plastic cover, placed chrome BMF behind the clear plastic, did little texturing with knife to the clear lense and glued them to the floorboard under the front nose.
