Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
In my opinion, for the new Knight Rider to return and survive, NBC should allow Syfy channel to pick up the show.

UGH "Syfy"
Seriously, who comes up with this crap?
In answer to your question though, yes. But if KR had any chance at all, I have a feeling it would have been before they changed the brand.

HECK YEAH they should pick it up! I don't see why they shouldn't. It would be a great show for them, considering Kitt's technology. If they don't, they're loosing out on a great money maker in my eyes. Plus, people would probably be angry for not continuing the show!

Uh ya! if it brings the show back! i love knight rider!
Re: Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
I'm pretty sure we more or less all would like for a station to pick the show up. Having said that... the issues would still be there, it would still be a show about a talking car, without the budget necessary to balance out the ridiculousness around the concept and the overall writing, the bad word-to-mouth would follow it and so on and so forth.
I'm actually becoming a lot partial to the idea of a comic book. Not that there is even the thought of that out there, but I certainly wouldn't mind it being transferred to that medium; I've been reading the Buffy and Angel follow-ups and they're impressively consistent and competent as continuations of those shows. I'm almost debating whether I'd prefer an actual TV show or the comic book route with this particular KR incarnation.

Anything to get Michael and KITT back on the screen

Re: Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
If NBC has all but officially cancelled KR08, then let them still the make the show, but let SyFy air it. There
are other shows done that way, owned and made by one network, but aired on another. So long as we get
our KR08.

Re: Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
Sorry if I come across as a dick for pointing this out, but its Sci Fi not SyFi.
Although this is a rather pointless thread as we are all clearly biased and 99% will most deffo say yes, I'll play along and have added my inevitable 'yes' vote to the tally lol.
If you had asked 'Do you think Sci Fi will produce and air a season 2?' I would have answered 'No' as its not really that likely that they will want to pick up such an expensive show.

They changed the name because they wanted it to be "less geeky".

Re: Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
If it meant seeing Knight Rider return then yes, but you all do know that Syfy is owned by NBC? So if NBC have cancelled it, chances are Syfy won't pick it up.

Re: Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
If SYFY can bring KR08 back for another season that would be great, the only problem is, I would not be able to record it because I don't have cable, but I can wait until the DVD release, besides those are better because the show is commercial free. And what's up with the spelling of SYFY, I liked it better with the original spelling "SCI-FI".

Re: Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
I can't get syfy in, but I couldn't get NBC anyway so I just hope some Norwegian company has a deal with 'em if they pick it up, and like you said, season dvd's (or blurays ) are better than seeing it with 3 commercials breaks of 7 minutes each.

Yes, the SCIFI Channel should.
As long as they stop calling themselves SyFy, which, sorry to say, makes them sound 100% geekier!

Re: Should Syfy pick up Knight Rider?
I believe the reason SYFY changed their name was to appeal to the kids of today who can't spell anything right.
Thank hip hop of today for that trend.
