There will be many KITT's to unlock. One being a 4th gen concept. :)

msKen, I have to say that I am very impressed. The fact that you are going to make a video game out of the Knight Rider universe is something we are very grateful for.

Keep up the great work.

Regards,
Cobra

KITT is getting another over haul, I wasn't happy with the final look and thanks to everyones help I have learned from my mistakes on the body lines. I also based the car off of other people's replicas and such and I ended up with kind of a mixed car. I am doing a true first season KITT as we speak with the proper nose, dash, pods, wheel, and upper and lower consoles.

In other news, the Michael Knight character is almost complete! Needs a little more work before we start the animation process. This model has working eyes, eye lids, mouth, teeth, tongue, and so on. We are using motion capture and rag doll physics to animate him.

Image

If anyone is curious this Michael is based off of the pilot Michael Knight. (If you haven't guessed my game will start you off from the beginning. You will play threw some classic missions and eventually some new ones!) I have added my own characteristics to the model and wanted it to look close to David Hasselhoff but not necessarily exactly the same. This model is not complete! I haven't done bump/normal and specular maps yet which will really bring the model to life. The curls in the hair will actually look real when I am done. I have a lot more work to do including some accessories.... :D

For video game nerds/buffs like myself, I would like to add that this model is only 2,400 polygons.

My announcement will hopefully be in a few weeks :) thanks for asking!

Here is a look at some of the animation work for Michael's face and facial expressions. When we get done Michael will be able to physically express many different facial expression from pain to joy and should lipsync very nice to the voice actor.

Man, you're incredible! Awsome work!

When are you planning to release the game, ish? What platforms are you going to apply it for?
Michael: Kitt what matters to me is who you are not what you look like. Sure we don't have the car so we can't turbo boost so we can't go over 200 miles an hour but it was all icing on the cake anyway

Looks great Tobie, I have to say your models are what has inspired me to go back and redo the models I have done. You have an excellent eye for detail. Also you gave me those prints a long time ago, can't thank you enough for those! :good:

This is an early work in progress view. I have some minor details like side marker lights and such but I will get those details in bump/normal mapping. If you notice I made the lens covers, if KITT takes enough damage those lens covers will fly off revealing the more early season 1 KITT.

now thats impressive!!!!! very perfect! i did the lens cover thing in san andreas but they would show the indicators through in the day so i blackened them, then the whole front bumper smashes off so it didnt matter, maybe gta 4 will allow for better damage!

keep up the great work!!!!!
