Gumball 2008 - With David Hasselhoff and KITT

Thank god those stickers come off easy! It's a Gumball 3000 thing, I've seen most entrants with them except for a 2 man team running the Gumball with a fake cop car.

So it's Friday night and we are all registered and the KITT car is waiting outside the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco and ready to go tomorrow.... It is going to be so cool. The Gumball Rally is amazing and you can see it all here...

From 11.00 PST, we will be broadcasting live from the start line as we get ready to go. So tune in her, scroll down to the Hoff TV player, kindly brought to you by Kyte, and watch it. Then as we race down to LA, I will be checking in with you guys... There is no other social network in the world which has ever done anything like this. This is a world and an internet first!!!!!

Greetings,

I'm extremely tired (please excuse any typos) so I have to keep this somewhat brief. David arrived in Hollywood in front of the El Captian Theater in a silver Audi and I had the pleasure along with my friend Danny (Cal Jedi Knight) of Knights of the West Coast to hand David a white gift box (Danny handed him the box personally) with info for Saugus with some postcards, t -shirt, Support Glen badges, and so on. It is currently sitting inside the car he was driving on the passenger seat.

David was very quick to get out of the car and make his way to the Rosevelt Hotel. I also had the pleasure of meeting up with Sue who worked quite hard to get into the center of the frenzy once David arrived and get the good people of KRO some great exclusive shots. Sue's the best at what she does with her camera!

I have a couple of my own shots and will post photos later, including a great shot of David and his partner behind the wheel. We literally got right next to his door. Talk about great timing!

KITT did not make it to the show. I guess the law decided to keep him locked up which is a real shame. There were a lot of great luxury and high profile sports cars though, lots of mercedez? and ferrarris. David's entrance in the Audi was clearly the most anticipated moment of the show and he didn't disappoint. It was interesting because no one knew what car he was going to arrive in and he arrived around 10:40pm, way past the original 8-9 deadline.

David looked very tired and did not stop to take photos or sign autographs. He basically made his way as quickly to the hotel as possible. Given the amount of driving he had to endure, I don't blame him for just wanting to get to his room and relax. I have a good feeling our hard work to give him our gifts will pay off.

Well for now that's all I know at the moment. I'll post photos up later.

Well I got to see David! Go to his site and check out his latest vid you will see me waving at you all and David saying hi to KRO. I’ll work on getting my vids up. But here’s some pictures.






David wasn’t driving KITT as you can tell, KITT came a little later. After the bad luck of getting pulled over twice for tinted taillights and his red scanner KITT then breaks down right as he exits the highway! They pushed him all the way up to the rally.

It was good to see Victor again! Also I want to give a special thank you to the kind photographers out there who all called out to me to let me know when David arrived. Thanks sooo much! And if anyone I met for the fist time is just tuning in, hi to you all too, welcome to KRO!

Id just like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped get pics & footage of the Hoff in LA last night, excellent work guys!

I stayed up all night watching the live feed from Hasselhoff.Com and finally hit the hay at 7am just missing the update from LA, I just watched the video today and it looked like total mayhem!

It was great chatting with some of you guys last night on the live chat, you are all some top notch people, a real credit to KRO! So Neil, Sue, Victor and Jaime a big thumbs up !

Sue, Hope you didnt forget your crayons!

I suspect this is the KITT that David built for his "Knight Rocker" concert series (toured Europe in 1987).
