episode where kitt was shut down

what episode was it where i believe bonnie or who ever goes under the dash and turns a dial by his cpu and shuts down kitt???

I believe it was "Chariots of Gold". I couldn't believe what i was seeing. I thought to myself, what is she doing? I got upset when I saw Kitt's "eyes" [scanner] close.

It was the episode with Might Mouth, the teddy bear. Cameron Zachery
made Michael shut KITT down after they drove him up onnthe truck.

Michael later reactivated him with his necklace.

Don't recall the episode name though.

Sad I can remember names of characters but never episode names.

It was A Good Knight's Work. One of my favorite episodes.

Episodes where K.I.T.T. is shut down:

"A Good Knight's Work" -- Michael instructs K.I.T.T. to turn himself off. He is later reactivated by Michael's medallion.

"Knights of the Fast Lane" -- Michael shuts down all of K.I.T.T. systems by pressing the Power button on the dash. Later reactivated by the comlink.

Bonnie DOES appear to temporarily deactivate K.I.T.T. while reprogramming him. This is just after she tears the circuit boards out from under the dash, and his scanner slows and turns off.

Don't forget Junkyard Dog where he's completely destroyed. They have to rebuild the CPU and everything out of what is left.

Good Knight's Work is also the one where they I think turbo-boost into the apartment and then after they get back in after defeating the guy, KITT asks "How are we getting down". They don't even tell how he got down. That's left to our imagination.

A Good Knight's work and Junkyard Dog are among my favourite episodes because of a more intense battle against the bad guys

That's true, you could say the same thing about Knight of the Juggernaut and Knight of the Drones. He has been overridden a few times too.
