Cleaning Kitt's dash.

Post by whet » Tue Feb 11, 2003 7:10 pm

I have been wondering who dusted kitt's dash?
Yu'd have to be carefull what if you pressed turbo boost.
Or maybe Kitt's auto vac system would Keep dust from gathering in the first place.

Damn.....Now I have heard everything. I think you just topped the list of most dumbest posts I have ever read...... Congratulations.

It was a TV show.....FANTASY.... The stage hand dusted the thing...

What were you thinking man. I hear Burger King is hiring. Myself
and KITT believe you are more than qualified......

Now run Forest....RUN....

nope, not dumb!

in Soul Survivor amongst other eps, I noticed the dash was VERY dusty and it'd be pretty logical for Bonnie to clean up the components every once in a while.

Of course, KITT would have to be shutdown temporarily while Bonnie dusted him over to prevent any buttons from being activated.

Sorry knightdriver, but I think you REALLY missed the point of this post. It's meant to be funny.

This isn't quite the same thing, but I've had to change light bulbs on TV production switchers while they were on the air. It's very nerve-wracking to try to pop the cap off of a button while not actually pressing the button. (sometimes you can route control away from the switcher temporarily, but not always). I could see Bonnie having the same trouble, only with MUCH worse consequences.

Kudos to whet.... of all the topics that get rehashed over and over again, here is one which is truly original.

LOL. I got one.

Bonnie: KITT, I am going to clean your dash off. I am starting with the bottom left hand side.

KITT: Be carefull Bonnie.

Bonnie: I will K(just then her dust mop touches the auto eject for the drivers side, she flies to the simies top while on the inside of the simi, and she is nothing but a puddle of goo)..

KITT: Uh Michal? We need that darn spatucla again, Bonnie needs to be scrapped off and air pumped, again...

:D

I doubt that KITT would've had to be switched off for the duration of
the dashboard and consoles being cleaned. I think it's probably more
likely that KITT could just temporarily de-activate certain buttons that
could cause big problems if pressed while KITT is parked up the semi.

Great. Can I have your permission to have my posts be made funny too? Or is that an exclusive right of certain people on this board?

I'm not sure I understand the message. Provided you're not rude or insulting, you are more than welcome to post odd or funy observations about the show. You don't need permission to do that.

I like this thread - not to criticise others, but when I see that 'Favourite Episode' has cropped up yet again, an original question is like a breath of fresh air!

I think Kitt probably took care of his own interior, with the air-vac. But who took care of the outside? (Ie, 'Ring of Fire'). I think I remember Michael offering to take him to the car wash in 'Trust Doesn't Rust' (and an automatic wash wouldn't damage the MBS!), but perhaps Michael got the old bucket and sponge out himself occasionally? I can imagine it being very therapeutic for him

No, no...he also has an air vac OUTSIDE the car too....proof of when KITT is dusty one min, and shiny clean in the very next scene!

Look at KITT V KARR's final battle scene for just one of the many examples.

LOL.

Well, I guess I will join in seriously on the fun here. I guess you can look at it this way, Every time a bomb goes off inside KITT, he obviously has to clean it while in route to pick up Michael. I know Michael would want bomb shrapnel stuck in his rear because KITT neglected to use the auto suck on his chair before hand.

Kitt obviously needs an auto vac system installed too because half the scenes he is in, he is usulaly driving around in the desert. That and Michael always seems to leave his windows down when he gets in and out. Just some thoughts on that.....

The heck with explaining the button, what if it went off accidently while Michael was driving. Thank the Foundation for auto cruise.

I do believe the blooper reel has an example of exactly that... *angelic look* And Michael sure enjoyed the heck out of it. :D
