Damn, thats hot. Nice find. I'm suprised he's allowed to sell it. If it was a show car, isn't there usually some rules about that?

He's fibbing, there's no way that car was in the show with a scanner that looks like JCWhitney, wheels that look like 14"ers and a first season 2 TV dash!

It sure is shiny though and would not be a bad buy, I'm curious as to how the top goes up?

The top doesn't go up on that car. It is a perminent convertable. It was constructed for a customer by Code One Custom Auto. see:

codeoneauto.com

The fact they they are selling it as a screen used car is causing some stir amongst other KR related boards. The original convertable KITT was a v-6 firebird and had the proper 1 tv dash. The original car was sold after the show and had the 1 tr dash replaced with its 2 screen version (although only one tv was installed in the very center of the two) Paul had taken molds off the original convertable (back deck, steering wheel, and nose) to create this second car. You can read about it's construction on the codeoneatuo.com site.

Hi this is my first time posting to the board. About that car on e-bay it's a fake. I saw it in Las Vegas at the Palms casino I took pictures of it. They made it for a Knight Rider fan but he changed his mind. At the palms it was going for 30,000 dollars

That's sweet! Wish it weren't Convertible. See, if I had a KITT replica..I'd wanna drive it, I mean, i know it wouldnt be kept as nice. But, what better a show than to drive it ?!
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

I'm no expert or anything but I have to say...if I were forced to make an opinion, I'd have to cry FAKE...just for the simple fact of the already-noted obvious 2-screen display, as well as the fact that it has leather seats and the gear shifter is all wrong...looks like a Z-Gate shifter inside. Nice for someone's collection, but foolhardy to try to pass it off as a TV car...IMO...

I hate when people say "it's an original" .
There is now way that car is an original..

I wouldn't pay more that $12,000 CND for it (roughly $8000 US)
Well I hope the sucker that buys it, knows what he's getting into...

Notice the infamous "4th season nose" that's going around. No plates covering the fascias turn indicators. Also the B&M shifter knob! Obvious replica. VIN checks out, though. She's all they say she is in the T/A arena. Nice car though, just no Kitt!
KITT project is on again!

Currently working on: brand new stock tan interior, almost done!

code one auto

according to code one auto's web site "I hope to catch up with the car again sometime in the future at it's new home at the Cars of the Stars Museaum in Keswick, England." They are speaking about the original car.
