I believe that is who I ordered mine through. I had a problem with one of my boards. E-mailed him and he sent out a replacement immediately. Makes me wonder why I dealt with the crap I did, for as long as I did.

Good to know. I have MCKs stuff but am getting rid of it and will be making my KITT more of a stunt KITT.
But if I need electronics I know where to get them.

this guys is a real loser i mean i say we send a letter to the Italian minster or something and have the Italian police deal with this man i mean why do we fans have to deal with this man's problem i am surprised no one seen my post when i said about when my grand mother was coned by a man we were building a room for my brother and he used her money for drugs so i say we take this action to true law enforcement and let them deal with it and get Cat's #300 back that way he will lose business. So why ask our selves why are we fighting this man?

Brennon, at one time, sold electronics for fair prices with about a 1-year wait list. That stopped about 4 years ago, when, judging from threads that have continually popped up over the past several years, he virtually ceased delivering products to overseas customers—the ones that have a difficult time coming after him—and also stiffed many US customers.

Why did he go from a reputable vendor to the worst in terms of reputation? Only he knows. There were brief mentions in threads of moves, job losses, divorce, etc. I don't pretend to know all of the details. But regardless, the Brennon Fulbright that has continued to take folks money for the past four years while telling new customers that the electronics should be ready in 4-6 months (when he KNOWS he's got a years-long backlog and has some customers in Europe that he took orders from 6 years ago and hasn't delivered) is not the same Brennon Fulbright that entered the hobby as a promising source of quality electronics.

It does NOT take 4-6 years to order supplies, wait for them to arrive, solder the components to a circuit board, and ship them out.

What astounds me is how many people are still blindly supporting him as customers keep coming out of the woodwork saying that they've paid thousands years ago and he blows them off. "Rome wasn't built in a day." "Be patient." Really? We are talking 6 years for some folks. How many years should these folks have to wait before you agree that they've been had? 8? 10? But still he is listed as a "trusted vendor" by some of his long-time friends, which facilitates naive newbies dumping more money into the pit. It's sad to see so many of these threads, and still his website is up.

Trusted vendor status is a joke on that other website. It didn't help all the people who got ripped off by Ken Glenn of Wraith Innovation's. Fortunately he is no longer in business. And to the newbie's who don't do their homework before they send a large some of money to a vendor. And see what their current status is too bad. There is no excuse for it in this day and age. Why hasn't the title of this thread been changed to $300.00 dollar's? I'am no lawyer but can't Brenon now sue for some type of liability issue's?? Is it possible for him to sue the website owner??

Perhaps they are leaving the title to the thread unchanged so that when people do their homework,as you put it,can see what he's done and to help others who want to build kr replicas from not doing business with him. Also if they look through the progression of the thread they can see that he's given back $1,300 out of the $1,600 he's taken from the customer.

I agree that the thread title should be changed. Brenon did refund most of the money, so regardless of how much effort it took to get the refund and the years of wasted time on the part of the original poster, the facts are that Brenon has refunded all but $300, so "$1600" is no longer accurate.

Funny how a post was just made by the admin on the other board pretty much saying that Brenon will remain a "trusted vendor" regardless of all of the folks in recent years that have been pleading for help in their situation with Brenon. Those who see the obvious problem with the site endorsing someone with multiple 4–6-year old undelivered orders can just "deal with it," or speak up and be banned from the site of course.

The funniest (really saddest) post was by someone saying they just passed the 5-year mark themselves and are optimistically hoping that this is their "year" to get their dash electronics order. They were obviously not a jerk--just someone who placed an order many years ago and still hasn't seen it. I think we would all cringe if we were to ever find out how many customers and how many thousands of dollars comprise Brenon's backlog. He has consistently refused to openly post a list of his waiting customers, with their place on the list, as is standard practice in most circles of "amateur" prop or part fabrication. Again, I believe the reason why is that it would stun those that see it, and the support he still has would rapidly dry up.

I've been considering the title issue for a few days now since it was brought up by Nelson B. The truth is I was leaning in favour of leaving it, since it reflected the situation at the time the thread was created. Generally speaking, we don't change old thread titles. That being said, the point that the debt is now $300 instead of $1600 holds merit, so I've decided to make a compromise that reflects both the original status of the thread, and the situation now.

I'm hoping this works for all of you. :good:

Matt I just wanted to save you from a possible legal headache. As I said before I'am not a lawyer. Brenon could of filed a lawsuit against the website if you had left the old title as it was. He could of claimed he is loosing thousand's of dollar's in business because of it. Now would he win I don't know. But who need's that kind of grief.

And that folks is why you should avoid any dealings with this person.

This shows you how he operates, he has no respect for his customers, and I would not give him a cent.

What good are his "amazing" products if you never receive them, and he treats you like the enemy for wanting what you paid for.....four years later, he is absolutely absurd.

KentuckyKITT wrote:I don't participate anymore in this hobby much mostly due to work and my car is pretty much complete except for needing a new paint job, dash electronics and a few switches here and there. I ended up putting smoke tinted plexiglass panels in the openings to give my dash a finished look for car shows. Honestly, I don't ever see myself getting a set of dash electronics unless I buy a used set or bite the bullet, take a gamble, and buy a ready to go set from an Italian vendor on Ebay. I will not wait more than a year for dash electronics, it's just not going to happen. Honestly, no one should have to wait more than 12 months unless you are having a complete turn-key conversion built.

I remember people used to say order the dash electronics first when you start, then do everything else while you wait. That's good advice if it's only going to take a year to get them, but 2, 3, 4, 5??? No. Unacceptable. You could get a 2 year electronics degree and build your own set in that time frame. I've read and "heard" about a lot of dealings lately with getting dash electronics, but these two responses below bug me:

"30.01.2011
I have you a set complete but I'm waiting on your overlays to be completed...
Shouldn't be too long.
Brenon

16.02.2011
Yes Sir they are here and I'm getting your set together now. I'm checking thru
everything to be sure all is ok then I will ship in a day or two.
Thanks
Brenon"

If those two emails are true and they refer to the dash electronics, then it looks like they were "finished" and ready to ship back in 2011. Like Matthew said, we don't see the complete conversation, but if those are true copy and paste responses referring to the dash electronics, then that's a problem. I'm sorry to see these problems are still happening even after I've been out for over a year. Honestly, I thought I might be able to order electronics by now and get them within a year, but that still doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe I'll try again in 5 years.

I would suggest for future replica builders, you should really have a binding contract drawn up between you and the seller outlining the completion date, price, and a late fee paid to you for every day beyond the completion date. I think for far too long we've been too eager to just send money with nothing in writing and no "fire under the seller" to get it done in a timely fashion. Thankfully, I've always had good luck in this hobby. I've sent money to vendors and got my products when expected and if the time frame went over a little, I was informed for the most part. Not everyone has had a good experience though. I don't know any of the details of this particular transaction other than what's in this thread, but those two emails above should concern anyone (if they are true).

I'm not suggesting that the following is going on here, but if you look at numbers for example: if 40 people send a vendor $1,600.00 for dash electronics, that's $64,000.00. It's too easy for people to forget what's important when they have that kind of cash and the ones who sent it are miles away and usually only known as a screen name on a message board or an email address. Once you open that door, it's too easy to walk through it over and over again and then you are out of money and keep taking more and more orders.

Some vendors need to realize their actual capabilities and become more specialized by only taking so many orders, manufacturing so many sets per year, each year. It is quite obvious that if a person has to wait more than one year, then this is what needs to happen. This is a very specialized hobby and I think most vendors could calculate how long it takes to put something together and how many per year they can realistically handle and just stick with that. How hard is that?? You'd have far less complaints and threads like this if people knew exactly what to expect and I'm sure it would be much easier on the vendor's headaches as well. So, I'm going to agree with the original poster and say he deserves a refund. Even if he has contributed to it taking this long in some fashion, still, it's bad business either way. At some point, you just have to realize the whole business transaction is a complete failure. Refund the guy and move on to the next one.

You'd be upset, truly. If u have a lot of orders but not a lot of time stop taking orders and stop accepting prepayments. Nobody would buy from you if "will receive product in 3+ years" was in ur product description.

4 years ??? Wow

if that's the case in four years you could just bought a 82 pontiac trans am and converted into a kitt replica interior/exterior all by yourself in 4 yrs. that's just my opinion

WORD OF ADVICE NEXT TIME

1. buy it from a real place like eBay (if there is any available) through PayPal. You're guaranteed you'll get your money back or just go to somewhere where you know that you they're under contract to have your order ready in time or your money back.

2. If you still want to do a third party seller Deal with someone in your country or area that you can write out a contract that they'll sign stating if you don't get your order by a certain date you get your money back. So you could automatically sue their ::you know what::

3.Try marks custom kits. http://www.markscustomkits.com
Some people I know dealt with them before and they're a little expensive but trustworthy.

MCK doesn;t make KR parts anymore.

Brenon sold his blueprints to Fred Fuchs from overseas. Wait time for electronics should be shorter. Chris in Florida makes the scanners now.
