KITT Keepsake ornament available Saturday

Post by Michael Pajaro » Wed Jul 10, 2013 9:45 pm

Don't forget - Saturday is the release date of Hallmark's new 2013 Keepsake ornaments, including a scanning, talking KITT! I was able to get my hands on a preview box - looks good to me so far!

If you can't wait until tomorrow - try stopping by your Hallmark today. I did earlier and KITT is on the shelves for purchase. It's a nice model, with two leds for the scanner that lights up and speaks when you press on the gas tank. The wheels independently move, so you'll be able to have fun with this guy beyond the holidays.

I got mine today! It's a great ornament! I do hope they come out with KARR, and even Michael, Bonnie, April, and Devon figures for future years!
I haven't yet decided if I'll leave KITT on a shelf, or hang him with my other Hallmark Ornaments (I have a LOT of Star Trek and Star Wars ornaments).

I have not gotten mine yet, but I did see it up close and personal.

Pros:
the 'sculpt' is very nice every thing that makes KITT, KITT is on this ornament
the placement of the button for the voice
he is made out of metal (this makes the price worth it)
the working scanner
the voice

Cons:
the scanner, while cool is just 2 lights side by side that one turns on the other turns of etc, cool but not as cool as the ones on the 1/18 cars or the the 1/25 aoshima models
the voice is just KITT's introduction of himself from the pilot episode.
the 'hubcaps' are flat/dull black not glossy like the finish of the rest of the car (easily correctable if your a model builder).

All and all he is very cool and I usually only buy these types of ornaments after the holidays when they go to clearance but I am SO gonna pay the full 20 bucks for this guy :good:.
Michael: "You know, your as much fun as a divorce, which is not a bad idea!"
KITT: "I want custody of ME!"

I preordered mine, and already have it! It's kind of cute... my older sister, who never saw the series, cracked up when she heard KITT talk. :)
I wouldn't touch that one with a ten-foot drive shaft!
Please remove the staple from my fender.
