Seeing as they have done KITT, a 1/18 KARR is a given... Still waiting to get my hands on that 1/18 KITT!

What an interesting line of cars too... I do want Herbie and the BatPod!

It's old news - I posted these announcements when they were made back in November: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17658&start=250#p205542" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Didn't yours come with an instruction manual? It would clearly show you where its located.

The battery compartment is underneath the car, right by the license plate....

Correct! Its what makes turbo boost possible.. Its all fantasy of course, those rockets were never seen on the real car which always had the stock chassis.

true,

but I think that is one of the good things about the HW Knight Rider, it isn't just a black Trans Am, it is what KITT would really look like.

The only time I ever saw those missiles anywhere would have to be on the Kitt kit blueprints.

I don't think those are what cause turbo boost.I can see it as what Kitt referred to as rocket boosters in season one Just My Bill when Kitt had to outrun the villians on the hill.I can also see that as what components are used in pursuit mode.

If you freeze frame the scene in Plush Ride where Michael tells Kitt to rotate his turbo booster you can see frame by frame that there's something just under Kitt's front bumper.I can see that aimed downward at all times with a set of gas gun panels under the center part of kitt's body along the doors panels to create a downward thrust for turbo boost.

Not to turn this into another HW model car thread but those knight industries stickers on the exhausts are silly because KITT is supposed to be a futuristic undercover car. They just practically advertised that it's something special by putting both the exhausts there and the stickers with the name of the organisation on it. lol.

To each his own.. But I think its a nice touch from Hot Wheels.. Something different, something we never really saw in the series and also making the model be totally different from the previous 1/18 KITT.
