Knight Rider in Ted

Post by Michael Pajaro » Tue Dec 11, 2012 11:59 pm

Just watched Ted, the movie about the talking Teddy Bear. It is full of 80s references, including this one: when Ted calls Mark Wahlberg, his ringtone is the Knight Rider theme song. It's even listed in the end credits amongst the other songs:

"KNIGHT RIDER (MAIN TITLE)"
Written by Glen Larson and Stuart Phillips

Stuart?! Yes, that's how it's listed in the movie, which is odd since in the actual TV credits he's listed as Stu Phillips. Also strange that it's not listed as Glen A. Larson.

Fair warning for those have not heard: this is a very adult teddy bear. The movie has a lot of strong language and very adult situations.

Your ringtone must be very loud for you to think it was your phone. lol.

I thought the KR reference was cool. The whole movie was a reference to 80's movies and shows. Loved it!

This movie makes me want to use the Fla...aaash savior of the universe ringtone but as for the same reason I changed mine from kr to something else I didn't want to be instantly labeled geek the second i got a call. The deathstar ringtone for his gf was pretty funny too.The style of this movie matched how Family Guy is directed weekly. The humor is the same even the music to go from scene to scene is there.
