Yeah it's there, I just saw it at the car show two weeks ago. I even commented to my mom that the Camaro has a ready-made slot for it if they had used it.
(Not trying to start a "they should have used" war, just what I observed.)

yeah i noticed that too, maybe gm put the slot there just in case someone wants to make the camaro into kitt.

That slot has been on there since the concept came out 2 years ago. It's there to bring in cooler outside air, similar to a Ram Air set up that was found on 4th gen WS6's.
The real KITT was born a Trans Am.
