The winch cables! Haha!
You know, I would have loved to see KITT repel down the building.
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

I just think they had to wait until the middle of the night, and KITT could just back out and drop. He does have the MBS. There's no said limit to what he can sustain, so I assume the MBS would protect his body.

I can just imagine coating a PC's case in MBS, then dropping it out a 20'th floor window. The case itself will survive. But, I guarantee that PC won't boot afterwards.

yeah. im just wondering how the delicate internal computer parts of KITT always survive after massive stunts, not to mention your everyday turbo boost.
"ok. lets hit it! ~MK"
"Michael! No!!!! ~KITT"
kitt flies into the air and lands after the turbo boost
"KITT? KITT buddy? speak to me pal......."

Well, considering that a rock and a pothole turned KITT into a Brooklyn Cabbie, it was quite a feat that with every turbo boost, there wasn't some kind of major damage.

I've always felt that KITT had need of some sort of micro-repair network.
But, then, I suppose Nano-Bot technology wasn't such a popular idea, back then.

Out of the Woods, while KITT and Michael are travelling along the mountain roads. A rock flips up and hits KITT's underside, and he suddenly goes into Brooklyn Cabbie Mode, until Michael hits another bump, and he goes back to normal.
