Engine Type:

Aluminum block/titanium heads 5.4-liter V8 internal combustion with Whipple supercharger and Knight Industries liquid air cycle auxiliary turbine engine. 540 hp in Hero mode. Power output can’t be measured in Attack mode

0 - 60 mph: 1.77 seconds

Standing quarter mile 3.87 seconds

I dont have a clue what this means  , heres the link where I found the info

Can't take that article as gospel though, not just because it was mostly a joke but because things will probably change in the series.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :skar:

well, the only other two references are "solar powered hybrid engine" in one of the promos and we know he uses gasoline for fuel and KI3T also said "my system is mostly solar powered"

That is the vacuum line schematic.

For that 1/4 time, figuring the car weighs 3500, it would take around 8000 HP to do so.

With a stated top speed of 377mph, the car would have to defy the laws of aerodynamics and physics to attain said speed. Unless it is in a vacuum, like say, outer space.

The "Braking (300 to 0 mph): 12 ft." should be just wonderful on the human body. Detached retinas for instance.

If there's one thing about KI3T going that fast that is extremely unbelievable, than it's because of his aerodynamics.

Theres no point even trying to explain it scientifically, Its Knight Rider after all, alot of the technology defies belief.

I wont even go into Kitt transforming into a truck..... :D

I say its make believe TV and I know I`m gonna switch my adult head off and enjoy it as a piece of fun escapism.

When I get to watch the series, I`ll be that 7 year old again who just goes "WOW! thats cool, omg I cant believe it can do that, awesome!"

I`ll tell you something funny, I was exactly the same way when I watched the backdoor pilot, I was sitting on the couch with a box of popcorn and when Kitt whooshed passed the truck and the theme music kicked in....well lets just say I went wooooooooh! and the popcorn went everywhere! that was an understatement by the way!

Lets just say I try not to be overly critical or find explanations for everything, It was always meant to be a fun show with cool technology (even if it did`nt make sense) and a bad-ass talking car!

I`ll still treat it the same way(and no I dont care that Im 31), everything else is so serious these days its makes a nice change to switch off, whats wrong with cool toys and good old fashioned fun and escapism?

I know I'd feel that way too.I wish some other people would think the same way. It's not reality,it's just TV! :D The point of it is to have fun! :good:

Yea guys I know in real life the gt500 runs a 1/4 mile in 12.2 - 13 range
Same with my 2002 ram air trans am... Not bad for alot less HP and not to mention 6 years older.

the KR actually does the quarter mile in just about eleven seconds. Though indeed magazines seems to pull a twelve second more often, but that's with the regular GT500 and not the KR.
