Found an interesting photo from KR2K.
What did they use for the cover on the scanner so it wouldn't look clear?
It does look like they at least used a lower wattage bulbs.

I agree. Not only did K.I.T.T. never have that, but his scanner always acted as his "eyes." So there's no reason for the eye ball. But then again they did show a stock Firebird steering wheel and a weird pipe in the crate full of parts, too. Either they didn't know or think any fans would notice what parts K.I.T.T. was supposed to have.knightdriver wrote:and personally, I thought the eye ball was stupid.

I thought the scanner was just for KITT to view things forward and to use to analize objects... I guess they wanted KITT to be able to "actually see inside the vehicle", hence what the scanner wasn't suppose to be able to do....Lost Knight wrote:I agree.
