HOFF's Opinion of Dodge Stealth Knight 4000?
Hi,
does anyone know if David Hasselhoff ever expressed his opinion of the Dodge Stealth Knight 4000. Did he like it or dislike it?

The only part of the car that was left alone was the greenhouse (roof and all the glass areas) and the doors. The interor except for the custom made dash/steering wheel was still all stock Dodge Stealth.

Thanks, Dave! I didn't realize that's what the car was called from Knight Rider 2000. I had no idea there was a Dodge Stealth under there! I didn't really like that car, I thought the nose was too long, the rear was too big, and the tires were too small. I remember watching the movie in 1991 and being very disappointed that KITT had lost his original body. I taped the movie and kept watching the intro, and the flashback scenes when Devon was dying to get my old-school KITT fix.

I agree! I didn't like the Knight 4000 vehicle either! I mean, look at it. It's ugly... The Knight Rider vehicle should be black and yes, the front was too long, the back as too big and the tires were to small (small silver rims, come on). Look's like a ugly red boat to me, except for the tires of course!
Michael: Kitt what matters to me is who you are not what you look like. Sure we don't have the car so we can't turbo boost so we can't go over 200 miles an hour but it was all icing on the cake anyway

In a episode, i noticed they made a little mistake when Karr was re-discovered.
Not sure if i was see-ing things however, when that couple on the beach hopped in Karr, and then Karr sped up the hill from the beach to the road.
It was actually the exact car as Kitt, didnt have the silver on the bottom.

The only problem with using a 4th gen T/A is that the movie was set in the year 2000, so it woulda kinda looked old hat as it would have been a 7 year old model...
I think that's why they went for something bespoke that was at least based on a futuristic concept (the Banshee) and the fact that it wasn't going into production helped it by making it stand out from the crowd.
Shame the KIFT looked like a Tonka toy because of it's short wheelbase...

KARR didn't get the 2 tone paintjob until later in that episode - initially he looked exactly the same as KITT (as in Trust Doesn't Rust) - which is why the cop pulled Michael - mistaken identity...mickhq wrote:In a episode, i noticed they made a little mistake when Karr was re-discovered.

It almost looks like K.I.T.T. has a face with that car. Also, I hated the whole concept with him being in a '57 Chevy. He's state-of-the-art! Keep him that way! I'd actually prefer him in the "big red tomato" and to scrap the Chevy idea.Radicalas wrote:Jay_n1 wrote:Yea I didn't really liked KIFT ether, I find it kinda dorky. I did find it funny seeing KITT as a '50's Chevy though... Could someone post a pic of it.
