No, but if they do please don't let Davilex software make it, they made such a shambles of Knight Rider 1 & 2 for the ps2!!!

Davilex has about 15 titles under their belt, all of which equally stink. Beautiful graphics engine, but serious lack of creativity. There is so much one could do with a Knight Rider game as far as the characters and story line are concerned. If I were still working on Knight Rider RPG you would have had a GTA Clone that allowed you to drive KITT at anytime and also be able to get out of KITT and be Michael and go exploring for clues.

yip your spot on msKEN thats exactly what the kight rider game should have been like, a GTA clone. Its a pity Rockstar games never made it instead of Davilex!! U never know though if they ever make the new knight rider movie no doubt a software company will produce a game like they did with starsky and hutch movie and king kong movie. Fingers crossed.

KITT would look so good on the new gen consoles.

Let's just hope Davilex don't get their hands on the license again!

Now that there is a confirmed movie on the way, I highly suspect that the KR franchise rights have gone WAY out of Davilex's price range.

Still...I'm concerned that whomever does pick up the license for the next console game is probabaly gonna just make another driver. Because, every official game to date was 100% driver and (let us face it. Some manequin in a jacket on the intro image isn't...) 0% Michael...or the rest of the team. (Though, I am tempted to say that a single facial shot of Bonnie/Michael/Devon in the barely plausable text plot portions of the KR NES game should qualify at 0.5%)

Hopefully Davilex doesn't have a contract/liceanse that runs into 2010 or something stupid like that or we could all be in a lot of trouble. :(

Maybe that's why they're delaying the movie - until Davilex's contract runs out

Never know who has what.

I was highly reminded of that when I saw a PS2 game, using the Jaws franchise. (And, I thought Jaws was truly dead.)

There are too many GTA clones these days that the concept is quickly becoming dull. Even The Godfather game used it.

I would make the game as original as possible, trying to avoid as many existing game designs as I can.

It is kind of hard to avoid the GTA clone situation, these days. Everything (but Nintendo) has gone all 3-D. You get in a car and drive. You get out of a car. Bla, bla, bla. Originality in that respect is hard to find. The question comes down to if it qualifies as a Grand Theft Auto clone or a Gran Turismo clone. Knight Rider is obviously going to be 3-D driving. But, don't we all want more? After all, Knight Rider was never 100% about Michael and/or KITT driving the Knight-2000 and seeing what can be jumped or smashed through this time. No. Knight Rider was also about the investigation. Figuring out what was what...but, not in a Police show sort of way. I've always thought a game should reflect that.

Besides, the GTA I've played most is GTA: Vice City. And, I have to admit that just playing the game is far more fun then playing the game's MISSIONS. I don't want a GTA clone of KR to be about smashing through all the walls in the city or punching out a thousand random criminals, fleeing the law.

As for Jaws, I only saw the cover when some kid in front of me in line was buying it and I noted the title. Remarked about how some franchises never seem to die. Which reminds me...we're about due for Top Gun game #100...or so. (All based around one movie.)

ea games could make knight rider game they make the games with cars pretty nice! But what you think whats better create game where you can be michael and walk around or where you only drive as kitt, even better they could use season 1 or 2 storyline.

well karr is pretty much robot but i dont recognise this, that micahel and kitt fighted with robots and kitt had rockets and plasma gun or whatevever it is but kitt had the lase and its in the wrong place and still why they didint fix the dash it looks so uncool even the tan interior were gone. Even somone whos working with blender (for example) can probably make better games

Let's face it. It's not Knight Rider if you don't drive KITT. But, it's well past time to get beyond JUST the steering wheel. Action AND foot action, light mystery solving MUST be covered. We have the technology, now.

Now, what's all this about robot slaughter??? (I missed out on what the two Davilex games did for plots.) Sounds like KR met Terminator future, or something.
