It's a tiny detail that makes a hell of alot of difference to the appearance of the car - thanks for pointing it out. :) I painted mine in water colours ...

You need alot of light, and a long exposure for indoor photography. I painted my wheel rims like you have, and I must say it looks much better.

I like what you've done to the rims with the black paint - I'll do that to mine I think. I'm happy with the model as it is though - no way am I touching the lamps or putting tape all over it.

comet-miniatures? Didn't use them - mine was purchased from ModelZone in Surrey.

Fog lights don't look upto much though.

I've had a look at the model - it's plenty accurate enough for my liking. Once I find a way round the scanner, I'll begin construction (I make quite alot of aircraft kits anyway).

I got one of those for my Birthday - how does it build up? Accuracy? Is the kit good in terms of fit?

These models appear to be in demand - the shop where I got mine had 60+ pre-orders, and only had 35 delivered, and they were on GPL's best sellers list before they were even released!

Just looked at the model - don't see how you could remove the foglights without having to take the model apart. Even if you were, I think you'll be lucky to find a lens that fits perfectly.

It's not that big of an issue - the rest of the model is superb.

If the pedals came to me as a sepearate piece, I could cut off the clutch and add the green lights to the throttle.

I'll speak to the shop and see if they can get a spare part for me.

Must just have slipped through the net. Their website says they don't offer a spare parts service, and it's a long way to go back to London to return it. Might wait 'till after Xmas and take it to a local retailer and say I recieved it as an Xmas present!
