I know that at least outlines for the eps 18-22 were written. I don't believe they had gotten to script stage, before the show went on hiatus.

Other than that, as Phoenixzero said, everything that has been shot will end up on screen (unless they pull the plug early).

I don't think these numbers mean too much. Next week will be a more important barometer. And, it will be very interesting to see if NBC promotes the show during football this week-end.

I don't think they're doing any promotion for this episode--it's the last of the previous incarnation of the show, before the transition begins, and the episode itself had some problems. If they don't start promoting on Thursday, then I'd be a little concerned.

The show would have had less T & A, certainly. I think KITT's evolution would have pretty much as it has been, as a learning AI. There would have been fewer characters of course, and less government-inspired missions; more in spirit like the original, and more, I gather, like the last few episod...

The powers that be at NBC, in their infinite wisdom, decided to cut that scene from episode 4, "A Hard Day's Knight." Apparently it would have cut into the T & A time too much. i believe there was another scene cut, and replaced with that beach scene at the end.
