Thinking about it, I really don't think David Hasselhoff should be in the movie at all. Since it's a reboot I suppose the main role will still be Michael Knight and he's obviously not going to play that, and he shouldn't be playing any other Knight Rider role. I guess they were cut out in syndication. A channel in Israel had brought the whole show back to TV about a year ago, and showed the full, original, unedited, episodes. All the scenes that you mention were there.

I do believe the part where Devon talks to Wilton about the body has been cut. I haven't seen it before I got the original episode, as the previous copies I had from US TV did not include that scene.
