Re: KITT Cars My History.
LMAO!!!! :D   :D YES!! There it is! Lamely labeled "K.I.T.T.", with a teeny tiny sensor light, in case, ya know, we forgot... Seriously, look how much cooler the "Soul Survivor" CPU was, at least that had semblance of computer technology. I'm with you Knight Racer, that...

Re: KITT Cars My History.
I just wanna jump in, and say I think ALL of your choices deserve equal merit! Everyone should agree on 1 thing, that all of your "new KITT" picks are light years better than that weird electronic egg shaped KITT thingy that TKR gave us... that was truly hideous and unforgivable! :...

Re: KITT Project for School
The changes came out perfectly! It has a stronger Knight Industries/KITT vibe now, and using Devon as the "voice over" was actually a great touch. It gave that more authentic dealer/commercial video, and now I think it's falling perfectly into place. :good: I too would like to know how you...

Re: KITT Project for School
Awesome stuff going on here! I love the idea of marketing KITT. If you're still looking for some more suggestions, I'd like to chime in too! I would consider dropping the Built by Wilton Knight for FLAG headline, and focus more solely on Knight Industries, since that's the company, and KITT is the p...

Basically, when Nick says it's happening, it's happening. He's not the type to ever jump the gun, his information is always good, and always confirmed. I'm looking forward to some new KR tunes!

Re: Kitt's Scanner Sound on Disney's Quack Pack
Wow! That is without question, KITT's scanner sound. It's very strange to hear it used like that, but the stranger thing, is it actually works in that dumbfounding role! I remember his scanner sound being on a Hypnotism episode of Lois & Clark. Some kind of TV program that people would watch, an...

Re: KNIGHT RIDER AND STAR TREK
I also love both franchises. For Star Trek TNG and Knight Rider, let's not forget the behind the scenes. I believe you'll find a lot of familiar Knight Rider names while watching TNG Credits. Stories by one Richard C. Okie, and some of the directing staff as well. Winrich Kolbe, and Bernard McEveety...

Re: Super Pursuit Mode
Actually, the stock lines of that Trans Am were very solid, and one of GM's best in Aerodynamics. Real Salt Flat drivers have used the 3rd Gen Firebird to achieve speeds from 260 - nearly 300 mph. These speeds were clearly spm speeds, and the mods to the cars are actually quite small in the grand sc...

Re: Which episodes had the best opening sequences?
I've always felt the season openers always nailed the opening sequences perfectly. Goliath featuring Garthe Knight's cane gunshot instantly transitioning to a great view of a cruising KITT with the strong bass of the KR theme hitting comes to mind. Knight of the Drones in it's original format is by ...

Re: Your VERY first impression of Knight Rider
I have bits of memory from the original run of season 3, which was when I was first introduced to it. I was somewhere of 3 - 4. Now according to my mom, I took to the 3rd gen Trans Am just before I knew what KR was. I had a couple of firebird matchbox cars, and then my dad noticed and got the big bl...

Whatever.. C'mon guys.. Stop ruining the fun of anticipating for the model to be released.. I don't remember reading this much criticism on the ERTL 1/18 KITT thread when that model was announced back in 2004. Before this thread closes due to all the negativity, some of you guys just have to learn ...

Re: Sneak Peek of New Hot Wheels 1/18 KITT!!
Not only am I a huge Knight Rider fan, but because of it, I'm a total 3rd Gen Firebird Trans Am/Formula freak. Also a pontiac freak altogether. I have a 1987 Formula, and know the lines of the car very well. The images in this model have captured a strong likeness that's not present in other Firebir...

Yes! I distinctly remember catching that on it's first run episode. If I'm not mistaken, it was an episode guide for Season 3. I remember catching "KITT vs. KARR" and "The Rotten Apples" on that list.

Re: POLL: Should KITT Turbo Boost?
Should KITT Turbo Boost? That's a silly question. Should the General Lee have continued to jump? WB only used nitrogen launchers to scale up all the jumps for the Dukes movie in 2005. No matter what the opinion of that movie was, you have to admit the General's treatments were top notch. I'd expect ...

Re: 26 years ago: Half Hour Knight Rider syndicated
I was born in 81. So I was juuuust old enough to catch the end of the series' regular run, and be head over heels in love with it. Like I said earlier, when channel 9 started showing, I had never seen the earlier "block" voice modulator on KITT, nor did I remember his Season 1 plane like T...

Re: 26 years ago: Half Hour Knight Rider syndicated
Wow, just read up on those stats. Knight Rider was an absolute BEAST in it's syndicate run! It really is a wonder how by like, 1989 or 90, NBC didn't pool it's resources to get the real KITT back on the road. Much like 'Family Guys' post run resurrection. NBC really missed the boat even when it HAD ...

JOE!! No worries about the thread hijack, I too have fond memories of WWOR. Thank you so much! I totally remember Knight Rider following Beretta! As a kid the, that "hotel" on the credits is so easy to remember with Knight Rider being described. Wow. I LOVE the screen cap. The giant 9 with...

OMG Neps!!!! Thanks for that! Sooooo Many memories with seeing the old "9" for WWOR! I used to watch Airwolf from 1 - 3 before KR would come on. Only when the Mets weren't covered, of course! Wow, seeing commercial was just awesome. I used to look forward to those Saturdays all week long, ...

Re: 26 years ago: Half Hour Knight Rider syndicated
YES!!!! I totally remember this! I was a Long Islander as a kid, and I also watched Knight Rider reruns on WWOR. Knight Rider was definitely a big syndicate for that channel as they used to run 2 episodes every Saturday from 3 - 5 pm. Every Sunday at 11 am, following "Steampipe Alley", and...

Re: Actual Pursuit Mode
Personally, I always thought it would be cool to hook up a Nitrous tank to a "Turbo Boost" button. Particularly since Turbo used to occasionally give him that burst of speed in Season 1. Either way, both would be an awesome way to use the speed burst. I love the secondaries idea on the car...

The Black Boxed set includes all of the updated corrected discs. Nearly all of the Sound effects are fully restored. There maybe a few misses, but I haven't identified them. Most notably corrected, are Lost Knight, and the Opening car chase of "Knight of the Chameleon".

Re: kitts computer capabilities (orginal series)
Yes, he does make mention of it in 10 Wheel Trouble, although he was a little a head of the Commodore 64
He says his memory/data functions were unlimited, he had over 10 million K's of data, and could introduce a new million each day if needed. It was something to this desired effect.

Re: The Knight Story
The thing with Lost Knight, that keeps in mind, is it's reasons that keep Knight Rider so great. Ok, so we have story that tapers way off in dynamic and inevitably arrives at being corny. "Citizen's Arrest" and all that. We do keep the dynamic that in the search of a lost KITT, Micheal and...
