hey, im pretty sure that on a real trans am's the trim around the tailgate is matt black regardless of body color....same as weather strips etc

the tailgate is just glass...it doesnt have a metal frame believe it or not

ive improved my interior too, yeah the rear window is also a let down, the edge on it is WAY too thick it also came with a clutch pedal that i sniped off i cant understand why they dont consult a few enthusiasts when making these models..a couple of posts on a site like this would have them on the r...

you should give it a try, i couldnt bear to look at mine before...im happy now

thanks for the nice comments guys yes the 1/24 is a ertl, its actualy the old version as a i got it from ebay before the new one was released...im glad you noticed the seats :D it also has real scale model carpet in the trunk :P as for the 1/18 modfied nose..i like things to look acurate, i dremeled...
