I got it... well... 2 of them :) (1 for my bro) and I must admit that the car is actually quite impressive. The amber lenses aren't as noticible as they seem to be in the photos.

Got it & love it!!! Nice job overall, Ertl :)

Agreed. As fans, it's what we've always done. Heck, I've been venting about the tire size of the new Back To The Future III DeLorean for months now (front tires are too small), yet here we are with a slightly incorrect DeLorean. As fans, it's our duty to keep the show alive in any way we can includi...

One car that has caught my attention though. Your 1:24 non-diecast Ertl 1982 Pontiac Trans Am - Knight Rider 'K.I.T.T.' Edition. I am familiar with the diecast version, but not a plastic one. Can you supply a pic? I'm very interested in seeing it. It's simply the plastic model kit that was recently...

Hmmm. I wonder if there is any AMT/Artl plastic model kits (any car) that has lights to replace the amber. I'll need to have a better look next time I'm shopping.

Looking at those pics I notice they gave him a clutch pedal. Weird... I doesn't look like a clutch. Judging by the shape, I'd say it's the parking brake. Have a look at the '81 Trans Am interior below. (I couldn't find an interior photo from an '82-'92) http://www.my-car-picture.com/image-files/81-...

Re: Ertl Contact

I was waiting for everyone's opinion before I wrote to my Ertl contact again. As I understand it, she is the Products Manager. I want to give her everyone's feedback on KITT. I am surprised that the amber lights stayed after she said it would be corrected. Maybe it would be easier to just cut off t...

Speaking of the Aoshima models, one of the explanations of why they're more expensive is because of the US to Japan transportation. However, in my collection I have 5 Ertl models including the Ecto-1, General Lee, 'Starsky & Hutch' Gran Torino & 2 cars from the 'Fast and the Furious' movies....

I must admit. Time & time again & have moaned & groaned about the amber lenses... I HATE THEM!!! However, the point MischievousJoe makes does make sense. We SHOULD be happy this is being made at all. It does look sharp relatively. For those of us who hate the amber, just go to a hobby sh...

BTW, I can't remember who it was, but who was that contact someone here had with Ertl who said that the amber would be gone? Has she been contacted lately? What's her take?

That last photo was the exact same photo as the very first one that we ever saw. Note the TRANS AM logos. They simple photo-shopped the photo a bit. All other recent photos are likely prototype photos that Ertl released to vendors to promote the release. Just look at all the photos. They all have wh...

Sounds like there may be a screw on the underside of the car to unlock the trunk. Its a common thing on AutoArt Rally cars. Simply untighten the screw to release it. There should be a sticker or some indications on the underside. Usually the screw is much smaller than the others around it. Hope tha...
