Re: KITT car poll PART II

Wouldn't those swing up doors cause a problem just like with the Delorean when parallel parking? That is actually a big misconception... the gullwing doors on a DeLorean require less clearance to open than traditional doors... something like 11 inches. My vote still goes to the GT-R. I whipped up t...

Re: Weinstein Sign Deal with WGA!!!

I heard this on NPR this morning. VK, is Glen going to be doing the revisions on the script... or is TWC going to be bringing in another writer to revise/polish? Also, another quick question regarding Glen and the script... there were rumors about three or four years ago that he had written a KR fil...

Re: NBC Knight Rider TWO MINUTE preview

To echo the comments of some other posters in this thread, I'm sure that should bosses at NBC decide to commission a new KR series, we'll definitely see the return of the original KITT, either in a cameo appearance partway through the series, or as a fairly major part of the season finale. djgm, th...

Can someone explain the drastic voice differences between these two videos? It's not just dirty in one and cleaned up in the other. It sounds like totally different people. The intonation and accents are different; even the ending "Knight Rider--coming this February" is spoken differently...

Re: NBC airs 30 sec Promo

As an advertising guy... I LOVE the concept. It was begging to be done. ...I only wish that the full instrument panel mock-up could have been finished for it. I think my biggest concern with the new KR is whether we will see signature KR stunts like turbo-boost. I know my question will only be answe...

Re: rwd vs fwd: what I am saying

So... why are you so nuts about the G5? Why not the more obvious G6? In my opinion, both would look ridiculous as KITT, but I was just curious. Well, it is others who are nuts about it. I did mention the G6 as another possible KITT. We can talk about the G6 Coupe and the discussion would not be any...

Re: rwd vs fwd: what I am saying

So... why are you so nuts about the G5? Why not the more obvious G6? In my opinion, both would look ridiculous as KITT, but I was just curious. To me, it's not so much the drivetrain as the design of the vehicle. The GM Delta platform vehicles (G5, Cobalt, HHR, Ion, etc.) are low-grade economy cars....

Re: agreement on Pontiac G5! :)

by the 80s, the gm f-body vehicles (camaro and firebird/TA) had a definite sports-car "vibe". muscle cars were a thing of the past... just take a look at the power output numbers from 1982... pathetic. earlier, you mentioned the pontiac G5... but expressed a lacking of automobile knowledg...

That and I'm so glad GM didn't get the grubby mitts on this one the one thing I hated about the transformers movie was it was like a bloody two hour long general motors commercial. If you thought TRANSFORMERS felt like a long commercial... just wait until you see the KR pilot. The press release bas...

Re: agreement on Pontiac G5! :)

the terms "muscle car" and "sports car" refers to MUCH more than the body design. it's quite easy... "muscle cars" are traditionally street drag racers strong straight-line performance, often lacking in handling... pontiac gto, buick gsx, ford torino, etc. "sports ...

I assume that's a dvd still. His name must have been added in post then for the bonus disc because it didn't appear in the television airing that I can recall. They've got a well-known artist to re-do the original theme for the movie; it should be pretty cool. If it goes to series, the producers want to have a new theme done every week by a different artist, all doing their take on the original theme. That's a pretty neat idea. Very nice, hopefully its a ...

What really cracks me up is that the basic interior design is over 40 years old. A majority of the elements in the Mustang interior are taken from the first gen. Mustang... seeing them using it for KITT is just odd. I'm assuming that Ford wouldn't let them change any major elements of the car... inc...
