Re: KARR continuity
Whether they call it KARR or not is irrelevant to me. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. It looks like the only continuity is the name and this KARR exists in its own universe. They are picking and choosing what they want to acknowledge from the original series. I don't particularly ...

Re: Season 2 of KR08
Cast and producers have little to do with renewals. These are network decisions made at the executive level. Oftentimes, the producers and cast are the last to know the status of their show with the trade magazines usually getting the leaked information first. There are dozens of shows where the pro...

Re: Bigger Car Commercial Viper or Knight Rider '08
Ben Silverman admitted on Charlie Rose that the new Knight Rider is an NBC product that is being used to showcase Ford cars. It doesn't get any clearer than that about the intentions behind this show.

Re: Poll: NBC should cancel Knight Rider to make room for Leno
Very very bad news. With Leno being given the 10pm time slot all week it doesn't look good for KR. This means NBC has less hours to fill and more programming to choose from. In other words, the competition for those 8pm and 9 pm slots has just increased b/c NBC doesn't need shows to put in the 10pm ...

Re: How about just moving networks?
I think you guys are missing the point. KR wasn't brought back for creative reasons. It was brought back under the NBC/Ford partnership as an NBC property that can be used to showcase Ford's products. This is confirmed by Ben Silverman. I don't think Ford would allow a shift in stations. They want t...

Re: Did We As Fans Make This Bed?
True, we can't nor shouldn't lay all or even most of the blame at the feet of GST, at the end of the day he is still at the mercy of NBC and Ford and their demands. Though, it still I dunno if that can excuse some of the lackluster writing. I mean we all know KR isn't Shakespeare but the writers sh...

Re: Did We As Fans Make This Bed?
We had little to do with it. Ben Silverman stated himself that NBC and Ford had partnered together and Knight Rider was the perfect way to showcase a Ford product. Which means Ford's interests have a greater claim to the series than any creative input. GST was brought in to try and appease the fans ...

Re: Knight Rider Season Reduced - from 22 to 17
It's not dead, for example I heard that soap opera stars' salaries are being reduced as well. NBC is just cutting back thats all. Well if it's not dead it's in critical health. it proves NBC don't have any faith in Knight Rider anymore. I still say someone needs to answer for this, you can't keep d...

Re: Knight Rider Season Reduced - from 22 to 17
Not good news at all. This is a constructive cancellation not an express one. What that means is Knight Rider will not be officially cancelled until the Fall 2009 schedule materializes. Until then KR will be kept in limbo with the intention that its not coming back. The only way I see its return is ...
