This is rather frustrating as I generally am computer savvy, and I know I've played the game on my computer before. BUt now I go to play it and it fails to start because it can't find "mss32.dll"

I've tried reinstalling it and I've foudn the file myself in the game's program files (2, in fact). Anyone have any idea of what's wrong?

Do you know if the dll file is registered with Windows? If it isn't, the link below may help.

Cloudkitt, please go to, C:/WINDOWS/system32

Then search for mss32.dll, if no instance exists then download a new mss32.dll from

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?mss32

and please it to C:/WINDOWS/system32 (make sure when you drop it in their it doesn't go into a sub folder.

Okay, I did that and I get a new error:

"The procedure entry point _AIL_set_sample_volume@8 could not be located in the dynamic link library mss32.dll"

Any ideas?

would suggest running CHKDSK (check disk)
Click on Start>>Run then type, cmd then click OK.

Now in the DOS type window type, chkdsk/f then press enter.

This will now tell you that to perform check disk the machine will need to be restarted, to confirm this press Y then enter. Then restart.

Hopefully that will sort your problem
