It has the wrong dash for season 3/4 for a start. More like previous owner told him it was a geniune car and he got sucked in, so passing on the "story" he was told.

Its a replica not an original car.

I think there's a lot of grey area. Some cars with the old style dash were still used in later seasons for long distance shots, so an inaccurate dash doesn't tell the whole story. A stunt car with no inner dash could have been somd and then have a replica dash installed. So the exterior could be an official screen car but the interior would be new.

looks like a jupiter electronics or MCK's old style 1/2 Dash. It could have been real with the original 3/4 dash and he just changed it. Someone should ask if he has pictures of the dash it came with.

Over on our board, one of our members ran a carfax on it...

It has a very definite paper trail.

the car was originally titled in 1984 in illinois and then to Oklahoma....

Car NEVER saw California....

The car was built by Scott Lea in Oklahoma....

It is a replica.

Looks like the body of the car is season 4.

As for the dash, seems to be a hybrid of season1, 2 and 3 together.

Hi Guys,

One thing that is really bugging me about Scott lea Idol Rods is the pictures. He claims to have built these cars. The A-Team Van is my friends Van from the United Kingdom.
He just copied and pasted that picture.
He will be contacted about this now and asked to remove it,
he certainly didn't build it. Doesn't look good to steal pictures...

Well, it looks like it didn't sell.

3 bids went up to US $51600 and the reserve wasn't met.

Buy It Now price was US $55000

Is it just me or are those figures a little bit pricey? :?

Yea because you can get a rep car built for you for around 40 grand.
