TODAY I join a campaign to get DAVID HASSELHOFF to No1 — and I urge you to get involved too.

The former Knight Rider star is making an assault on the UK charts by releasing his first-ever single here.

The aptly-titled Jump In My Car was only meant to be released in Australia.

But the song gathered an army of online fans who, ahem, hassled The Hoff to put it out in Britain.

It will be in shops on October 2.

It is a tongue-in-cheek, cheesy tune that deserves to be a chart-topper.

You can see what all the fuss is about and watch the video by clicking here.

I’ve seen it and it is hilarious. It features self-parodying David cruising along in Kitt, the car from Knight Rider, on the prowl for women.

The smooth American gets out, gyrates, and sings to a group of girls.

He finally lures one in — then uses his ejector seat on her because she lives too far away. Charming.

The Hoff is also promoting his autobiography and is looking for a girl to jump into more than just his car.

He says: “I’m coming to England and want to find a beautiful girlfriend.”

So, girls, beware of any black sports cars driving slowly late at night.

Whoever wrote the tabloid article backing DH's campaign for the music charts must be, as the British would say, completely barking mad.
I'll believe it when it see it(Not!).....

I personally would love for DH to score well on the music charts as a singer in both the U.S. and the U.K.
Is that too much to ask?

I think it's more of a joke than anything else. Read the link where you sign up. It talks about his split from his wife, knight rider, baywatch etc but in a sarcastic way.
