Knight Rider (Anthology Collection) - Due to be released

I have just found in 'play.com' website that 'Universal Playback' is going to release the 'Knight Rider - Anthology Collection' on 2nd October 2006.
They released last year an Anthology of Knight Rider. I hope that they are not going to release a similar Anthology next October.

So far, they have not put a date of release for the 'Complete Seasons 1,2,3 and 4 BoxSet'.

Ah, i may be mistaken but i'm sure this is already out.
I seen it in HMV not long ago and it's just the early release dvd's (the ones with random episodes on from the various seasons) in a flashy chrome paper box.

Yes, I know that. It was released last year (I think it was in October 2005). The three discs that they put in that anthology were actually released in 2001 and 2002.
I have just thought that it might be a different anthology. They are going to release it on 2nd October 2006. I am wondering that "if it is the same anthology, why they will make a new release of it in October?"
I hope that they will release a new anthology.

Hmm, would be nice to see more KR products hitting the streets, but now the full sets of DVD's are out, the only anthology i can think of is all 4 boxed sets in one single boxed set.
Don't know if anyones seen the Aliens films in a special set where all the DVD's sit inside a giant alien head (about 3-4 foot long). would be great if they put all the seasons of KR inside a giant KITT

Yeah I saw that Alien head quadrilogy set. I think it was a Japan exclusive which went for about £300 when in production. Really hot!!

they've got them in HMV for 45 quid if you still want one

I just had look on the website and the list price was 129.99
A bit far from 45 lol.
I've already got the boxset of the quadrilogy anyway plus there is shelf room running out now. I'd be really pushed for space to put him somewhere.
Don't know where I got the point about it being exclusive in japan from.

I have found further information about the forthcoming Anthology that is going to be released next October by Universal Playback in the UK.
According to the website of 'Virgin Megastores', it may include the first 9 episodes of Season 1. Assuming that this is true, it seems a bit weird that they are going to release this kind of Anthology, since most of us have the Complete Seasons 1-4 already.
Anyway, I am very happy that they are thinking to release more Anthologies in the future, even though the complete seasons have been already released. It is good to have a wide collection of VHS and DVD releases from Knight Rider.
