I really did not enjoy the knight rider 2000 movie that aired
on television in the 90's.

First off where was the original transam? Second why did Devon have to die? Why use a different car with a different color(red)? Where was RC3 and Bonny? Was Glen Larson involved with this production? I really hope that New Knight Rider movie is better than this sucky movie.

KR2K really sucked. It didn't had the original KR feeling. Michael was like a man annoyed with his life, Devon was struggling for control in his own business and Kitt became so irritating.

On the other hand, I began to like KR2010. It's not Michael and Kitt, but its post-apocalyptic and that genre rules!

KR2000 took place 16 years after the original series ended.

Things are more futuristic now. The old KITT was scrapped in favor
of the new 4000 that was being built.

The Foundation became a much bigger corperation than the one in
the 80's. It was also decided for the NEW car to be red to help bring
in more of a female crowd. It has been said that women love RED
cars.

Bonnie probably moved on. RC3 probably in jail for being useless and
irritating or for driving that crappy motorcycle around.

Devon was killed off as he probably didn't want to be apart of the new
series. Which this was supposed to be a pilot for but with the ratings
it recieved, it was never developed.

Didn't suck per say, but could have been much better.

I didn't like the movie. I hated that they killed off Devon. From what I heard Glen Larson didn't like the movie because it lost the whole point of Knight Rider.

That's interesting. Even though some cars do look sweet in red, I think KITT looks much sleeker and sexier in black. I'm sure he'd appreciate that comment.

Everything that happened in the movie can be explained with logic, but it still sucked.

The movie was fine without RC3 and Bonny but if you want Devon out - fine, send him to work for the bloody queen. Killing the character was a terrible decision.

You want to replace the black car, fine, but with something better. What was so good (technically) about the KR4000? The whole VR thing is not that attractive to viewers. Driving on water? the Original car did that once as well.

Where were the turbo boost? Ski mode? Those really are actually vital things that would make a huge difference when you think about it if you're a crime fighter with a car. KR4000 had a fax. Wow.

I think a major fault was placing it in the future. The great thing about the original Knight Rider was that it was about a futuristic car in the real world, the 1980s as we knew them. It made it special. Once you throw the entire surroundings into the future, it's just not that special anymore.

The movie just killed the myth, the sort of 'and they lived happily ever after' thing that lasted, for me, after the series. Well, apparently, they didn't. Devon's dead, Michael's unhappy with life, KITT was taken apart...

Decent movie all and all, but I don't think it was one many Knight Rider fans would actually LOVE.

I agree...the Knight 4000 was less advanced than KITT in almost every way. I didn't see that car do anything that KITT couldn't have done in season 1. The "VR mode" was a gimmick, totally useless, it really had no reason for being there. The Knight 4000 looked like a normal car with a strange sound. Glen Larson was not involved in the production at all. The music, while good, was not suited to Knight Rider at all. It's not that it was a bad movie...taken on its own it's really not bad at all...but it's NOT Knight Rider.
