that's really cool, that room with all the cars and KITT on a turntable to sweet.

There goes Barris taking credit for KITT again....but I guess, if any of us had the chance, I guess we woudl too :)

I dunno.

The car dash doesn't seem real - it's like half S1/2 and half S3. Plus some bits like lower console are wholly inaccurate.

Quote from Mark Puette from the Foundation when we had a Discussion over there. It explains the story about the car.
Mark Puette wrote:Just to clear things up. That car was NEVER used on KNIGHT RIDER. That car was a car owned by Barris that he drove around LA. An exterior car only. Later, when he needed a KNIGHT RIDER car to send to the museum in Gatlinburg, he had a 1 TV dash put in it, with the crappy overlay boards and LED's in it, and the tv area painted grey to resemble a tv. Then a fake steering wheel was mounted to a short pole and on a 6"X6" metal plate and screwed to the floorboard behind the drivers seat. They said this was how the car was driven from a hidden area. The lower console was done by Paul Sher after making a trip to the museum and noticing that the car had no lower console.

I was about to say that the car is quite obviously not one of the "screen used" cars. It has seat belts and it doesn't even have the original PMD seats, not to mention a 4th season nose and all the problems with the dashboard and such. I guess Barris thinks he can claim he created K.I.T.T. if he makes one of his own after the fact... The only original screen used car that I know of off-hand is the Convertible Mode KITT in the Cars Of the Stars Museum in Europe, I think...

Why not?

He's still producing "screen used" 66 Batmoblies to this day

I think a similar dash was used in White Bird when Michael & KITT spins on the grass right after the have turbo boosted into Coles airplane. Look when Michael opens the door to get Cole, you can see that the dash looks strange. Just like this one(If I remember it right).
