"I am the Knight Industries Two Thousand. My serial number is Alpha Delta 227529"
I finally just figured it out after reading this post. Pretty creative.

Very clever, ad227529! I would've never got it. I like your name much better now.

I always thought it was your initials with some random numbers.

I got it the first time I saw it. I just never said anything. But pretty clever indeed.

I think it's pretty clever.

Hey, while we're talking serial numbers, I don't think they ever mentioned what KARR's serial number is.
And if KITT has a serial number as 227529 what happened to the other 227528 cars?

Or ever think that maybe, that was the actual serial number of the first Trans Am that the show got from Pontiac? I dunno though as that first T/A was supposed to be the first one of that style off the assembly line and I'm not sure if they started from 1 again when changing the style or if they continued on from the older style cars?
Something interesting to think about nonetheless.

KITT serial number I think represented just his CPU and circuitry... like maybe the had to make 227529 revisions to his software and/or hardware before he was working the way he needed to be. That is just my opinion, but it makes more sense to me.
KARR probably had a much lower serial number.. i mean seeing how he came before and his programming wasn't quite as advanced as KITT's.
