Hey guys,
have you seen the Goooogle ad at the bottom of the page advertising the whole 4 Series of KR DVDs. Can that be true? Has anyone bought those DVDs?
If the ad doesn't show here is the link it leads to:

that is not an official universal release set of the 4 seasons. there are no bonus materials and such listed for any of the dvd's, it is region free buy only in english and it says released in 2001. this makes me believe that this is a cheap knock-off of dvd's that are made from taped episodes from television with poor quality and such. it looks like they are using the box for the season one universal release to hook you into buying them. in all honesty, how do you think you are going to get the official universal production dvd's of all 4 seasons when they are only currently working on season two?
i know i would wait for the real deal and pay a little more than have poor quality dvd's that are no better than having a collection of VHS tapes of the 4 seasons.

I know...you are probably right! I was just wondering what on earth they are selling and whether someone had actually bought those DVDs!

Universal releases of Knight Rider are better. They put a much better effort into satisfying the customer (namely us).

I don't think that that set can even be legal since Universal has not officially released all 4 seasons on DVD yet--meanign they're probably compiled from DVD's that have been officially released and the eps that have not been are probably Tivo'd from a VCR or something. Very surprised that Neil would allow an ad like that to run on this board which has historically caught some grief from Universal over endorsing pirated materials (not saying that this 4 Season set is pirated but I don't see how some or all of it couldn't be). Any webmasters here want to add input?

I'd just assume getting the official DVDs from Universal myself, one DVD set at a time, since it seems like a scam to me, so I don't think I want to be gypped big time by empty promises.....
That's just my opinion.

I've seen this set before as well. Seems to be homemade movies - my concern, 1) are they legal copies made for resale and 2) I doubt that all episodes are present in their entirey. Let's wait for the real releases!

Indeed - that's exactly what it seems to be - VHS tapes transferred to DVD - not the real stuff.

Sounds like an illegal operation to me.
I prefer Universal releases.

Let's stick with the originals. At least they are very good quality videos compared to VHS quality recorded onto disc.
