Poetry class - poems and song lyrics about, for and to KR

Have you ever written a poem? I like to write them and I'm not that bad with the rhymes... If you have some poetry too, feel free to share!
Here is a little verse I wrote a few days ago.
Thankyou (could be Michael's Valentine poem to KITT ^__^)
Note: Please, ignore the slight homoerotic tones between the lines. They're not really there. They just appear to be.
Some might say you are just a machine
But you're more alive than anything I've seen.
Your black body is always warm to touch
I can't deny that I like it much.
Like chiseled ruby, your sensor burns
Your calm voice always sooths my nerves.
We've been together through thick and thin
You always managed to save my skin.
I'd like to thank Heaven on this special day
That God the Almighty had guided my way
towards you, KITT, my eternal friend -
I hope that our friendship will never end.
What do you think?

I don't like it. I prefer 'Knight Visions'.

I got a quick one i just made up, sing to the tune of "Gramma got run over by a Reindeer".
Bonnie got run over by a Beetle, walking home from the semi Christmas Eve. You can say there no such thing as Herbie, but as for me and Devon we believe.

KARR
KARR,
The lonely survivor,
He fought for himself bravely;
But he was not allowed to exist;
In these days such cars,
Are appreciated in every way;
So this year,
Prepare for him,
To return in full glory.
I like that.

KITT oh KITT,
You are a twit.
You complain you are one of a kind,
Have you lost your mind?
Though you may have thought you won,
Leaving me there in the desert sun,
That was a mistake as I'm no slack,
I have returned, So watch your back.

Ah, SwEeTiNsAnItY, thank you! ^___^ And I have to bow before SKAR, he's kinda talented! ^___________^
What are the "Knight Visions"? I'm ashamed but I don't exactly know it / them...
Well. Since the topic came up, here's another piece.
Feeling guilty (KITT about the death of KARR)
Whom should I blame?
There's no volunteer.
Why did this happen?
And why do I feel
so helpless and sad?
I'm good, he was bad.
But when I go home
to rest for the night
it haunts me again -
that fearful sight.
I had no choice
but I still hear his voice.
How did it go wrong?
The guilt is so strong.
We were the same kind
but ended up in fight.
Now, noone that I see
is the same as me.
I wish that I could
turn back the time
To bring you back
and make you feel fine.
No matter what they say;
this is, what I pray:
I wish that you could
return on a day
roll next to me
and quietly say:
"Welcome home, my brother."
Comments and constructive critics are welcome. PLS, try to explain, why do you like it or not.

Knight Visions is a poem I found SOMEWHERE on the internet. I have no clue where, and I have no clue to who had written it. Sorry to who had written it.
Valiant knight, shadowy steed.
Who for the helpless, and those in need,
Through dire peril, and great jeopardy
Rode so gallantly.
Defenders of truth, goodness, and purity.
A greater pair, no man hath seen.
And though today, in 2004,
That marvelous mix of man and machine,
Rides no more the roads onscreen,
Each night, through my mind, in sleep serene,
Swoops the swiftest pair in dream upon dream.
I changed the year to suit the one we have now.

SKAR
For the return of scary KARR,
David Yates prepared the SKAR;
With those two as a pair,
One began in the lair;
For SKAR is the green,
And awfully mean,
To KITT and Michael he is bad,
He tried to destroyed them with the chance he had;
But then he decided that it is not worthy to,
And then he hid to think it through.
Beat this, SKAR.

Bonnie Got Run Over By a Reindeer

Bonnie Got Run Over by a Beetle (Sing to the tune of "Gramma Got Run Over by a Reindeer")
(KnightRider2000, 2004)
CHORUS:
Bonnie got run over by a Beetle
Walking home from the semi Christmas Eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Herbie,
But as for me an' Devon, we believe.
She'd been drinking too much Pepsi,
And we begged her not to go.
But she forgot her math equation,
And she staggered out the door
into the snow.
When we found her Christmas morning,
At the scene of the attack
She had oil on her forehead,
And incriminating tire tracks
on her back.
CHORUS
Now we're all so proud of Devon,
He's been taking this so well.
See him in there watching Cricket,
Drinking wine and playing chess
with KITT, my pal.
It's not Christmas without Bonnie,
Even the Dukes are dressed in black.
And we just can't help but wonder
Should we hire April Curtis
or one from Pontiac ?
PONTIAC!
CHORUS

Domino
Domino,
Dante's perfect match,
With all her sense of humour she must of lost a latch;
Very good KITT had returned,
Otherwise Domino would have burned.
Now this is no good. It's nonsense. But it IS funny in it's own way.

Cute poems Christine. I particularly like Thank You. It's very sweet.
And color me surprised that SKAR can write poetry.

Yupp, thanx for the sweet words, Knightshade. And KARR Engineer, you're not bad. Really not bad.
Ah, so this is "Knight Visions"! I've seen it somewhere too.
I had to realize, that I've run out of poems (actually I have another 3 but they were written for my fanfic...), so I wrote this little thing just last night. Enjoy.
After assignment
Dark is the night and cold is the rain;
another hard case was solved today.
They're heading home, weary but proud
they don't want to spend another night out.
The two brave Knights, the guy and the car -
companions in this endless war.
Their destination is still far away;
though "home is, where the heart is" - as they say.
They cherish each other like real friends do -
no matter, what danger, they can make through.
They guarded by a good star above
remember them and wish them luck.
C&CC is always welcome!
PS: "Bonnie got run over..." was HILARIOUS!! I laughed my head off, when I read it. Congrats!!

Dammit, it was supposed to be "They're guarded by a good star above". This was lame from me.

Knight Industries Two Thousand,
For short I call you KITT
You're twentyplus years old now,
Rusty and not worth spit.
Your dashboard's blown its bulbs,
Your armored shell is crumbling,
Your turbo boost is busted,
And your voice box is mumbling.
Your T-top panels have yellowed,
Your tires' threads are showing.
Your speedometer's stuck at 000,
Your scanner light ain't glowing,
Sorry, pal, but them's the brakes,
Your fighting days are through,
But wait! Bonnie's built you a new body,
So let's install your CPU.

Pooor KITTy... sniff.
Well, since nobody reported in a few days (I assume, everybody is busily trying to write something

), here's my latest outburst. Now, don't freak out, okay? I know I'm sick (and I love the feeling of it!) but I was wondering about two things: 1, how would KITT look like if he would be a human and 2, why not couple him with Bonnie? This is the result. I don’t recommend this to male fans. But fangirls; have you ever had a similar fantasy...? ^___^ Oh, yeah! I guess, I listened to "These dreams" by Heart one too many time.
Dreams
Beautiful spirit
Inside that sleek black car -
I see that you’re sleeping
You’ve closed your ruby eye.
What do you dream of
On peaceful summer nights?
Do you ever think of me,
Could you realize...?
I’m dressed in black silk
To match your perfect skin;
I know that’s just a dream
But it feels real deep within.
I look up to the Heavens
I wish upon a star
If only you could change
And be forever mine...
I close my eyes as
I step into the room.
I don’t want this vision
Slip away too soon.
The door is wide open –
The car’s an empty shell
And you’re on the back seat
Simply lying there.
Your hair is jet black
Your skin is porcelain pale.
Your smile is gentle
It never fades away.
My knight, my lover,
I waited for so long...
Wake up and hear me
Singing this simple song.
A thunder growls
Lightning strikes the sky.
I give a start
Tears come into my eye.
The dream flies away
Now, the story ends.
You will always be a car –
But we could still be friends.

Hey, not bad Knight Storm!
KARR: Poetry? KITT all the time. At least there is one about me! No, wait, I think there might be another one...
As lying beneath a broken bridge,
I had nothing to do.
My body scorched,
and fallen apart.
Next day came a person,
and started gathering parts.
He found my CPU,
And took it with him.
Many years later,
This person finds it in a junkyard,
With all these parts of a car there.
On my CPU is a tiny Knight Industries sign,
And he recognised it.
Now I am awaiting,
My new body to come true.
Very soon I will be back,
But not to take revenge.

Hey everyone. It's always great to see two of my favorite things together, KR and poetry, and its even better to see others who feel the same way!
By the way, just for the record, I wrote "Knight Visions" as a way of tribute since my webmaster abilities and such aren't that great, haha.

Write on!

Just for fun, a little off-the-cuff poem to add to this thread.
Dedicated to all,
A selfless pair --
Town large or small
You know they'll be there.
Whenever there's trouble
Like the Bloodhound Gang,
They're there on the double;
It ain't no big thang
For Michael and KITT
On an average day
To shut down the sh*t
And put the bad guys away.
But for now, I dream with a pen
And wish half aloud
That I were like them.
Then, I'd be proud.

Poetry class is fun! There's a lot of good poems here! This has motivated me to try to write one. It's from Kitt's point-of-view and was inspired by Darknight's "Knight Visions" and Christine Silver's "After Assignment". Also there's that quote from KR, "...one man can make a difference.." OK, here's my attempt:
Through dark of night and light of day
my purpose is set and I'm on my way
to right the wrongs and injustices done
alas, my work is just begun
As to my brave Knight, I am his steed
who's always there in time of great need
Fearlessly into the battle we ride
taking threat and danger in stride
Quest completed and victory won
Hey now let's have some fun!
But rest for the weary is far from true
for there are many things yet to do
So I will content myself with the thought
that freedom and justice is so dearly bought
and I have made a difference, every man should try
for this, the truth I cannot deny
Thanks Christine for this topic!!
