I think I would try and work voluntarily for FLAG in the vehicles departament (KITT) and help them out, design new functions, blah dee blah dee blah...

I'd pretend to be a mechanic and take KITT for a test drive and just leave

he loves everyone its his nature^_^ my teacher met kitt in person when they shot an eppy on her street when she was younger sat and talked with him for an hour.

I turned so hopeless that if I'd see KITT on the street, I'd run to him, and I'd try to annoy the Hell out of him just to hear his voice. Once I'm sure this is really KITT, I'd start to hug him and tell him how much I love him. And when in the end Michael shows up, I'd threaten him to allow me to sit into the car.

Hmm, I guess, KITT would shoot me. Rabid fangirl on the loose. ^___^
