For you die hard fans, feast your eyes upon this: Knight Rider the complete series on DVD

Though a bit pricy, I think I'll wait for an official set to come out. And I'm willing to bet whoever is selling these DVD's probably copied them off of old VHS tapes of the series. But interesrting none the less. But I am willing to bet the auction will sell for about $250-$325. Thats my guess.

Something about that auction bothers me. You can only fit 4 hours of High Quality video onto one DVD hence why most series dvd's such as Buffy, Smallville, Star Trek, and so on only have 4 eps per disc and usually end up being 6 discs long for a season having over 20 one hour eps. Now he managed to get 8 hours onto one DVD so I highly doubt they are anything but high quality as he claims.

Since they aren't the official DVDs and is an illegal collection, I'd be surprised if it makes it to the end of the auction. Why anyone would purchase a bootleg set of a series for hundreds of dollars is beyond me, for all you know you are getting static.

ebay don't usually cancel auctions containing illegal material do they?

i've seen lots of, and still do, see lots of bootleg dvd's floating around ebay UK all the time.

just yesterday i saw 'freddy v jason' and 'chainsaw massacre remake' dvd which the seller claims is only available in the US but i know they aren't even out there yet so they were lying and the covers were scanned so it was obviously fake.

i think ebay's policy is that you put items on there at your own risk.

i could be wrong though.

didn't bother reading the whole thing.

They actually generally do. They reserve the right to remove any auction that they deem illegal. But being that the holiday shopping season has started early this year, they are unable to police the whole thing and all the aspects of it as carefully as normal.

that's true. it makes me wonder how they can monitor things on a daily basis anyway.

and with ppl that do claim that their dvd's are genuine when in fact they are illegal, does that give them an escape route or do ebay check these things out?

ebay checks them out as a rule, and they do it actively when there is a complaint lodged even faster.

Well everybody, I wouldn't be surprised if it does make it to the end of auction because this seller has sold these sets before. But usually only a couple of seasons, just now is this seller selling the complete series. Hell I even bought some bootlegged DVD's and VHS tapes on ebay. *shrugs*

*dances a jig* Hey guess what? I just won an auction on ebay for the complete series of Knight Rider on VHS! Yay! I know its not DVD, but I thought it would be a great cheap alternitive to DVD. (I'm still gonna wait and keep my fingers crossed for an official release) This has just made my day. :D
