NO. I like the car (even if it is overhyped) but, that car IS NOT Kitt. First it's a supercar, hell you can only buy the Skyline in Japan and it would stand out more then the K4000. That and it seems more towards the TF&TF crowd.

Humm... I would have to see it in black. But I would have to No thanks! KITT wouldn't want to be in that body!

KITT needs to be in black. I think a 2002 trans am is not bad. If I were to build a current KITT, I'd use a 2002 trans am (if 2002 is wrong, then the final year of the trans ams then).

"The light is on but nobody's home." KITT (Knight Rider 2000 movie)

Ditto to everyone here. I can't see KITT in a rice burner either, and 4 cylinder at that. KITT is more deserving of a Black TA with a 230 bhp, V-8 engine under the hood.

I think a new KITT design should have a custom body, though not one as... well... ugly as that of the Knight 4000.

A new KITT should look like a logical progression of the original KITT design, and not necessarily a progression of the Trans Am's design. I think the design should borrow and evolve from the car's unique features, such as its custom nose, the taillights which are "invisible" when unlit, etc. Some of the features that are fairly exclusive to that model of Trans Am -- the "lopsided" hood, the hubcaps, etc. -- might influence the design, too.

The "spirit" of KITT should be incorporated into a completely unique design, without making the car scream "Trans Am."

And most importantly, the car should be black! 8)

Yep KITT must be black above all else, make KIFT red was very stupid, IMO! As for the reasons I listed in another one of my posts (somewhere) just the other day...

I think KITT should be the old trans-am. It would be fair to the replica owners.
