You can purchase the game at Amazon.com for under $20 now. Last time I checked it was $17.99 for the PC version.

Hope this helps!

Peace,

If order from Amazon.com through this link

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 60-6590411

part of your money will go to Patricia McPherson's environmental charity to save the Ballona wetlands. Current price at Amazon is $14.99, a bargain!

Thanks a lot everyone. I think I will take your advice, Michael, and buy it from Amazon and help the charity.

You can buy knight rider on ps2 but if you have a north america ps2you can buy a convert at modchip.com to convert the ntsc verison to pal because pal is the pal verison over in europe . And thats only place to buy knight rider on ps2. And don't forget that north america still has the knight rider nintedo game under $10.00if you get the computer game of knight rider to open super pursuit mode at a end of mission when you type in tour name type in power01 then your get super pursuit mode on every mission

i was bitterly disappointed by the game when a friend let me play it. it's a very generic race/mission game with KITT plastered in it, really. Knight Rider, and KITT's functions open up a whole slew of ideas, maybe a huge mission takes up the whole game (a la Splinter Cell, split into chunks) and you could control Michael too...?

what we got was a cash-in, really. KITT tearing along the roads with no reguard for other humans, and a rather lame final confrontation which i won't go into for those who have not bought it yet.

sorry if i sound harsh after only reappearing on the board, but we had such a build-up to the game and such a let-down in the end. :(

The game isn't made for a specific area. It is made for the PS2, and then there is certain coding to make in the production process for it to be the European or the Amercian version. So in that respect, Davilex did make a game for the PS2 in North America. However, because it is a game to be released on a Sony product, they needed approval from them, which you are right. BUT, we don't know since we aren't Sony or Davilex, where the fault lies. It could have been TriSynergy, the North American distrbutor of the game deciding that based on success of the game elsewhere, chose not to persue a North American release. We'll probably never know though, its really apointless debate, because the end result is the same.

Doesn't it cost the developer money to release a PS2 game. I know Nintendo and M$ charge a steep price to beta test, package and rubber stamp the third party products for their respective systems.

Might just be a lose lose situation for everyone involved but the fans (it really was a dog of a game).

Yup, it costs money. Thats what I was trying to allude to. You are right that it probably costs money to submit the game to Sony, and also it no doubt costs money to produce the game, run the presses, make the boxes, burn the CDs, etc..

you can say it cost money like neps said you have to go though all of those steps how else do you think they can sell one of those game for $50 when they first come out.

There is talk going around about the price of game disks going up to the $70 range because of increased royalty and production costs.
