now we all remember the Jacket made famous my Mr. Michael Knight,
what I was wondering is... Do you think he always wore the same jacket?
or he had like a bunch of them in wardrobe?

They had several of them in wardrobe.

I hope he had a whole bunch. With all those action scenes, that woulda been "one" stinky jacket if he didn't have spares. Plus I'm sure some got torn and what not.

They still sell black leather members only jackets in Utah. I almost bought one when I was there. Man I wish I did now!

Wearing a black leather jacket in the California heat driving, a black car. Well make your own assumptions. Lets hope KITT had AC.

I always wondered why he wore a black leather jacket in sunny California, where the heat can get in the high 70s, 80s, 90s and sometimes even worse. Hell most of the time he was out driving in the California desert with the jacket on.

Sure I guess it looked cool for him to be running around in that jacket, but it made no sense at all.

Michael's not the only one, I do too. Go figure. lol. :P

Btw, KI, everyone seemed to agree a while ago that the jacket never fit Michael. Just look at the sleeves, especially noticeable in the pilot. I think that's what people did point out.

However, it did go with the KR style.

Yeah, well, you might want to look at the average age, and general dressing style of those who spoke up in that conversation. There are those who do remember 80's style in distinct concept, and Hasselhoff wasn't the only one with a jacket that was too tight, too snug, etc.

He had a couple of different leather jackets - for instance, in "Knight of the Chamelion," he wore one with a white line around the shoulders.

& About the heat...while he was in KITT he must have been comfortable. I would bet that KITT used his thermal scanners to make the internal temperature cool.

I still think that there was more to that jacket than meets the eye, maybe it had some high tech cooling system built into it....

I like how in 'buy out' when he was put into the "microwave" room and the sweat was literally pouring from his face, you knew he was in agony with all that goin on.

And with that jacket, I bet it was more than 100 times worse.

It was the style, for those who don't remember the 80s, check out VH1's I Love the 80's next time it is on, and count how many people are wearing jackets that appear too tight.

I don't mind it as a style, more as an inconvenience. You ever put on something that was too tight, and then spend a half hour trying to get out of it? Pain at for the sake of "good fashion sense" doesn't seem worth it.

What's worse is in the one about the diamond theft and the wine brewing monks where you can see the sweat patches on Michael's shirt left over from the leather interior seats.

Leather jackets and leather seats and hot climates do not mix.

Did KITT really have leather seats? Because most of that looks like cloth to me, and didn't have the same reaction that leather does when you sit in it.

You don't need the leather seats to create the sweat stains, either, just the leather jackets would have sufficed.

I hope the foundation improved the Trans/Am's A/C, cause I can recall many a GM related vehicles of the time having issues quite often with it, breaking down and such.

i don't think kitt had leather sets either the reason is that most of the time leather has a gloss look to it and kitts sets don't have that to them and there is the reason that KI put down to.
