Hes probably refering to David Hasselfoffs Pop career, they are big fans of his apparantly.
Anyway i think his pop career only started after Baywatch, but i could be wrong...

his pop career started between knight rider and baywatch.. although he did sing way back into the late 70s, even appearing on talk shows and singing when he was on the young and the restless. his record, night rocker, went out in the early years of knight rider. he didn't become super popular until his song, 'looking for freedom' went triple platinum in germany in 1989, just a few months after baywatch started.
